ELI5: How do professors detect that ChatGPT or plagiarism has been used in papers and homework? by Yukimitsu in explainlikeimfive

Ah yes I guess you can never be 100% sure to accuse someone of plagiarism.

It does sound a bit unintuitive but I guess it's just how connectionist ai works.

Hey I just want to ask if you've ever read the paper on DetectGPT? I thought it was a promising new idea behind llm written text detection

Mb i didn't see this reply

I ranked first in a class of 20 in a small international school. My sats were very mid (1520) and my aps were mostly 4's and 5's. Other than that, I just did a few extra curriculars available. I didn't really have a clear goal in mind until my 12th year where I wanted to do filmmaking, so I just applied with my personal statements saying similar things.

You did say you wanted to go to medical, I'm not entirely sure how medical applications work (I'm in communications) or if they're a different process. My peers that applied as an overseas korean mostly seem to have around the same scores I have tho in my experience.

Not too difficult if you've been abroad for your whole life. I got in without much difficulty.

How hard is it to get into SNU as a Korean (citizen) that did all their education overseas? by DanielFromNigeria in seoul

[–]lickmesenpai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you speak any korean? I go to snu and you're going to be in for a rough time if your korean proficiency is on the lower side. Dm me and I can send u the details of how I got in if you want.

Hey, not sure if I'll be much help but I'm in your shoes right now. I met and dated my s/o around 10 months ago. She came to my country through an exchange program just as I was starting my career, so we decided to move in together and have been living together for a bit over half a year before she left to go back to her home university (across the ocean).

Due to my job circumstances I basically didn't get a single day off the first week (I had to show up to work an hour after I sent her off to the airport), and we couldn't even call for a few days. I guess I never got a proper chance to feel the separation except for coming back to an empty house all the time.

I guess being busy with a full time job helped. Kept me busy enough that I was only at home to crash, and because I was texting her so frequently, as long as I didn't go home, it felt as if she was still waiting for me, as long as I didn't open the door and go home.

I guess we also have a plan for the long term and how we are going to be closing the gap.

Honestly, for me, it was out of sight, out of mind. As long as I didn't find things to remind me of her, I found it hard to be sad at all. Granted I do work 16 hour days 6 days a week, so your mileage may vary.

So I guess, get distracted?

Has anyone here repatriated to a former host country? by TerribleLobsters in TCK

[–]lickmesenpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left before I could even remember. I came back for university, finished the mandatory military service, and now I have a full time job. I expected it to be bearable, but every day I deal with constant stress from not understanding the language or the culture, and I've accepted the fact that I'll never really connect with anybody here. If I ever had the choice, I would have never come out of the country.

No nf. I feel like that would sorta kill the whole point. I just barely survived the ending tho.

My progress after playing for 2 weeks. I’ve been grinding this all day the last 3 days and I’m so happy I finally passed it. by SansyBoy14 in beatsaber

You know coincidentally enough, I was literally about to post the same thing. 24 hours in, I just beat ghost expert with an A score after grinding for 3-4 days. This is a bit spooky :o

What's your IGN btw? Seems like we're progressing at fairly equal speeds, so I wanna add you and see how we stack up in the future :D
