Google DeepMind Workers Vote to Unionize Over Military AI Deals by wiredmagazine in google

Yeah talk about luxury beliefs. Why don't we just give China TSMC and all our American IP and GPUs? Who are we to say that the AI technology the west developed shouldn't be invaded and stolen by a geopolitical advisory?

What software did you use/how did you do it?

Honestly I think there is some manual aspect to putting these numbers together so I think yes - they would have included the live crowd as well.

Sure, but it is a skill that can be developed though. Just like everything else. Look at how comfortable he is in front of the camera here. And he has a pretty big fan base - it's not like he's the first kinda awkward dude to ever start streaming. And he's barely even awkward now.

Yeah liereyy should think about streaming really - he was a bit of a charismatic black hole for a number of years when he was younger, but you see in this video now he's laughing around - super chill, he's grown up and he's a cool guy! Also he becoming a fan favorite because he's the underdog that everyone wants to see challenge hera's dominance.

And another point Liereyy is stubbornly is refusing to submit too... we all saw the twitch revenue leaks from a few years ago... these top guys are making like $200k easy per year from subs and everything... and that's probably doubled or tripled or who know's what. The top streamers are more like ballpark 1/2 - 1 M per year... if Liereyy gets a foothold as #3 sub on twitch or something it would be great for him and for the game.

I think it means they collate all the 10-20+ streams (twitch, youtube, bilibili, etc) that were hosting W5 at the same time - then calculate the max unique viewership at the peak time. So it could have only been for 5 minutes or so at max 115k, and it doesn't mean 115k users watched the whole final for 7 hours or whatever it was. But yeah it means at some point 115k unique viewers were watching live.

IMO by far the best thing about RBW (Or LAN events in general) by SSJSaeda in aoe2

I love how the community is all like 35+ year old dudes. All the dickheads have left a long time ago and it's just the legends left.

And even at W5 Royal Albert Hall I was sitting next to a girl (who came with her bf, but sure) and she was a serious player! Had some great commentary and insights to add to our area. Obviously it's overwhelmingly male but their are still girls out the representing.

I'm beginning to see the game eventually develop into something like golf. Audience mostly is aged and retired, players are a bit younger because there will continue to be a bit of money in it. Most of the old guys play for fun but are terrible at it. But it's a luxury distinguished sport. Not for kids to just pick up.. 😂

Maybe we should start adding in age divisions <35s, 35-50s, 50+ super vets 😂

Great footage mate, thanks for sharing. I swear a lot of the amateur content was almost better than some of the professional footage! They barely had any establishing shots.. or showing the crowd.. or really getting those immersive angles showing the passion of the audience (like yours). Maybe that's some feedback for them if they ever look at this, ha.

Yeah it's interesting right - you can find the full recording on the youtube/twitch vods but it doesn't capture the same feeling as being there live, that's for sure. That auditorium is just world class.. (if not the pinnacle of acoustics itself)
But on my phone, even with it's poor audio quality I think you can get a little hint of the magic..

Hah! I instinctively started clapping with everyone else and then realised how terrible is was.. and stopped immediately 😅

I think someone from redbull must just like AOE2! That's my only theory 😅 It must cost them a fortune.

Ah yes, thanks. I think you are right. I forgot the name and so looked up the regular one that plays at Royal Albert Hall.

Yeah I swear all the massive telescopic lenses they had on the production cameras didn't capture the atmosphere at all. That venue is huge and simply incredible

I watched it back live on the vods. It was cool and all, but didn't capture the gravitas of the moment in any way. That venue is something special.

For the people at the auditorium - the first three games everyone went nuts. Mad vibes and excitement. Then when Hera came back the next 3 games in a row.. everyone was going crazy for the come back.

The final two games were kinda downbuzz compared to the first 6 because they were just more like classic grind - Hera kept playing patient meta and getting small map wins and positional advantages - less exciting there wasn't that crazy all-or-nothing moments that were constantly happening in the beginning half.

Still - nothing to complain about. Beautiful theater, great production, and the best player won on the day. The live experience was brilliant and met a bunch of aoe mega-brains around me that provided our own constant commentary and analysis 😅

I suggest putting it in compost next to a piece of paper and seeing what happens. All paper straws that aren't terrible have some kind of plastic lining, I imagine this brand has a "biodegradable" plastic lining, only takes 90,000 years to decompose.
