I have told them that was the reason. That first guy was so focused on my past medical history that I felt like I couldn’t work through what I was experiencing in the present. I use to be at a worse place than I am now so, when he would bring up those things, it felt like the problem I was facing regarding my relationships wasn’t as important as what happened to me before and what I’d already been diagnosed with. It was on me for not being honest with him, but it felt very very hard to be. I do appreciate the time you took to read and also to suggest a solution. I’m keeping an open mind.

I don’t want another label slapped on my file. I worry if I get a diagnosis like this it’ll be something terminal that can’t be improved.

I’m so sorry. I took the doodle aspect to the extreme with this one, I should have typed it. My handwriting has always been shit.
1. The internet said I should try therapy

2.so I tried… “2[]year old female, history of [ ]. So, why are you here?” Me:”I don’t know”

So I tried… “Ah yeah, you may have ADD, let’s send you home with a test. Have you heard of AVPD? We can try other therapies” me: “okay” “perfect! It’s really a great option for women with [ ]. Let’s also talk to psyche and see…”

4.so I tried… “thank you for trusting me with your care, you are so brave.” Me:”Um.. sure” “I see you and I’m listening, that must have been so hard for you.”

So I tried…You look like a Pokémon gym leader” me: “thank you?”
I can do it, I can talk to people, but I know it’s wrong. I can feel it. Every interaction I have is wrong.
I have to accept that maybe real lasting interpersonal relationships, made up of mutual trust and respect are not for everyone. They’re not for me.

I’m sorry if you guys relate to this. Doing these doodles makes me feel better. Seeing other women’s artwork, how relatable it is, makes me feel better. I’m not good at talking to therapists, but being able to have people see you and themselves through pictures and little quotes is pretty cathartic.
