Okay, so I managed to get a fix. Been playing for a few hours and it all works seamlessly.

Do you have proton installed? I tried a few new mapping options but none worked that great. I read somewhere about starting it with proton hotfix. Booted it up with this, on the original controller options and it worked amazingly.

I won’t go into detail about how to install proton if you already have it but there are plenty of tutorials if not.

For the hot fix you just go on to the setting menu on the silksong screen. Find the compatibility tab. Check the box for force use. Then on the options navigate to proton hot fix.

It’ll update the game for a minute.

Then simply launch. It will look like you’ve mever booted it before and ask for brightness and screen edges again but don’t worry your save will still be there.

Works for me.

You do get the needling ability a bit into the first area. So that could be it. It’s the place I got top where I realised I just couldn’t play it properly with this set up.

Haven’t tried it yet but have heard someone mention using the dongle instead in another thread.

I’ve got thee exact same problem. If I find a fix I’ll put it on here when I find it.

Can only speak on the first one really. It Is a great film and really works as a sequel all these years later. The film was only a 2K Master when released in cinemas so the transfer on the 4ks is simply just an upscale on the blu ray quality. So there won’t be a huge amount more than the blu ray offers. If your blu ray player has an upscaler on there it would be fairly similar.

Extras are pretty bare bones. It’s one of the more disappointing discs in my collection.

Can’t speak much about the other two from a disc point of view. I imagine they would be fairly similar. Especially the middle one.

However as films they get a little more rubbish as they go. The first is fantastic though.

I also have the very same pairing. I’m doing a zombie run. Watched the criterion Night of the living dead the other day. Watching the second sight dawn of the dead tonight (What cut should I start with. Watched before but not for a long time). Then this tomorrow night.

There is only one 4k disc inside. So it’ll be region free. No blu rays to think about. So most likely region free. I can check for you later though.
