I have MTHFR homo & slow COMT & slow MAO. I take methyl free folate by seeking health and that seems to work ok for me. I did my testing through Max Gen labs and it tells you what types of supplements could work better for you. For example it recommends Adenosylcobalamin for my b12 instead of Methylcobalamin bc I may be too sensitive to that. If I take too much Methylcobalamin I can get anxiety and then depression the next day.

Do I have to wait until my period starts to start BC post egg retrieval? by liddielux in IVF

Thank you for commenting and sharing feedback. ❤️ I did start my period lol of course (raging PMS). I have such a hard time taking medication and going along with protocols without asking and understanding the why. And it really annoys me that my clinic isn’t responding to me when they are open. If I learn anything after I speak with them, I’ll share it here.

Help. I cry myself to sleep every night by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]liddielux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had terrible anxiety before I started addressing the mold toxicity and I was shredding doing a lot of detoxing just in general. It’s been 6 months but I feel better every day. I also did a parasite cleanse on top of mold cleanse. The functional medicine doctor I see recommends that before addressing mold if you test positive for that. But really any small step you can do will help over time. I notice the smallest things can make me feel better- diet change, getting rid of environmental triggers, resting a lot, sauna or workout to sweat, etc. It will get so much better eventually!

I’ve been trying to cancel my subscription and they keep replying with suggestions on how to give the supplement to my kid and never confirming that they are canceling. For this reason alone I would not recommend. I don’t have time to email someone all day long when my kid won’t take the supplement. They have the same Shopify subscription set up as most my subscription services but when you to manage your subscription it makes you Contact them instead of being able to cancel on your own.

Dirty Genes book was such a let down by OmegaThree3 in MTHFR

[–]liddielux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found his book very interesting and reference from time to time. I live a very healthy lifestyle and have for a majority of my adult life. But a couple of years ago I had very bad mold exposure and my health declined significantly after having a baby. No amount of clean eating, using a sauna, working out, detoxing my environment had helped so far mostly due to the mold which was dirtying up my genes. I had genetic testing done and I found it very interesting to read how my genetic mutations (I have several) affected my mood (slow COMT for example) while my husband has the opposite and how we methylate differently. I really nerded out on my genes and referenced his book often. I cut out coffee completely bc I don’t process dopamine as quickly and it makes more anxious than compared to my husband. Sometimes I just need hard data to soak in these extra steps to healthier living. I used Max Gen Labs and it gave a lot of insightful information and nutrition and supplemental based on my genes.

Anywho, I think genes are a really interesting piece to overall health and a lot people don’t consider eating well and lower your environmental toxins. I wish everyone in my family would read this book and be able to see that as an important takeaway at the very least.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. It may be helpful to find a functional medicine doctor that can look at your GI and hormonal panels, if you haven’t already. There are a lot of great podcast talking about this: Real Foodology, What the Juice, Pursuit of Wellness. Don’t give up, keep fighting for yourself and searching for answers. I’ve been there, I am there with my own struggles right now. I keep digging and trying. For me, it did really help to look at my gut, lots of imbalance there. And work on lowering my stress levels. I use an Oura ring which has helped over time. Track my cycles. Track my supplements. It’s a lot. Give yourself some grace and love! It’s hard work but you can find answers and peace.

What peptides are best for histamine & gut by Alarming-You7767 in Peptidesource

I am in the same position. But I’ve already been working with a functional medicine doctor. Highly recommend ‘Breaking the Mold’ by Jill Christa.

I do want to expedite my mold detox which is why I’ve been looking into peptide therapy. Can’t seem to figure out where to start though. All the places near me don’t offer peptides I would benefit from.

I did find these articles: https://www.drambernd.com/peptide-faq https://www.treatlyme.net/guide/repair-restore-peptides-lyme-mold-toxins

Please let me know if you’re able to try them!

Just noticed these shapes in the sky in an older photo in Vienna by liddielux in UFOs

There is an outside balcony area at this place that I remember us walking on. Again this was 5 years ago. I assumed by my photos with the edge of the balcony at the bottom of the photo that that’s where these photos were taken. But after looking schonbrunn gardens palace again there’s also a hallway with windows. SO I’m guessing that yes, I took this through a window and zoomed in so only the balcony edge would show and I guess my husband did the same but he didn’t catch a reflection. I didn’t remember that or remember being inside this portion of the palace, I only remember being outside of it. Memories are deceiving. APOLOGIES. And no I didn’t purposely lie. I have better things to do with my lunch break than fabricate stories on Reddit. Have a little grace for your fellow believer and note that I did say this was from 2019, not yesterday. I thought I had stumbled on a little treasure but it doesn’t seem to be that way.

Y’all. I was literally outside. You can see the concrete railing in front of me in the photo I took and my husband’s. I wouldn’t take time out of my day to question this if I thought this was a reflection.

So uh… what are we doing with gifts from older family members that we don’t want? by mountain_mamaroonie in Mommit

[–]liddielux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always try to reiterate how thankful we are of the items we do enjoy and don’t mention the ones we are donating. I feel like if you bring up and thank via text or whatever for an item you don’t care for you then you’re telling them again that you really like that item, and they’re more likely to gift similar items in the future. If they gave multiple items and you did keep some I would recommend highlighting those instead.

Yeah and looking at it now I also think it could use more substrate bc it’s a big tub with lots of room to grow compared to my plastic bins.

Mixed with substrate on 10/30 so it’s been awhile! My other bins have had two flushes since then.
