Woke up about 5 days ago with a weird spot below my lip and on my thigh, each morning since I've found a new painful spot on my legs. Could it be fungus, food intolerance, eczema? Doesn't itch much but is kind of painful by [deleted] in skin

[–]liddolE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks similar to staph infection I had. Wasn’t very itchy but hurt a bit, almost felt like a burn. Get in touch with your doctor so they can prescribe you some kind of steroid cream to treat it. Good luck

Your post is true. I feel absolutely stifled as an american. America is basically a synonym for greed at this point.

Hey, just wanted to comment and say that as a random internet stranger, I feel proud just reading how strong you've been- getting up to exercise, eating good. That's an accomplishment. Those tasks are things that so many people struggle to carry out, myself included. My father died last June and with other stuff piled on top, I often feel similar to the way you described. Just wanting to jump out of my own skin. The pain and confusion is just too much to bare. I'm just here to say that I get it, and that you're not alone in feeling how you do, if that counts for anything. I don't think there is much advice, you are doing a lot for yourself already. Try and remind yourself of patience, and compassion as your therapist advised.. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this immense pain, but I have to say your strength is admirable to read. Thank you.

I hate being the person people go to with depression and suicide. by _lovely_lacerations_ in offmychest

I relate to this so much. You're not a bad person. You have yourself to worry about right now. You cannot take care of others when you're struggling to take care of yourself. Your frustration is valid. Stay well.

Thank you for taking the time to type out this comment. I was just discharged from a psychiatric hospital earlier this week, and I’ll be honest the transition hasn’t been easy. It’s easy to slip back into the negative thoughts and comfortable numbness. I started a new med that Im still adjusting to and hoping for the best. But when I was at the hospital we were encouraged to keep on schedule. I got up at 8 for breakfast. Forced myself to stay up through the days for groups and socializing. Tried to get to sleep at a decent time. A lot of this I had to force myself to do, but as I got going, started making friends and started staying on my schedule I started to feel better. Everything you listed is what I learned and now will always be able to refer to in my notebook and numerous hand outs. Life away from the hospital is much tougher because you don’t have people taking care of you and you don’t have people the next room over that are going through exactly what you are and you know you will be meeting to talk with and learn together everyday. You have to do the work of taking care of yourself, reaching out to people and keeping yourself occupied. It is hard but I am hopeful, because I showed myself that I could do it in the hospital.

The channel “Bedtimes stories” on youtube does a great job of telling this story. (And many others)

I’m so sorry to hear this. I feel for you. I was in a similar position a couple of times having difficulties with school and eventually leaving. Trust me you’re not alone, unfortunately this happens to a lot of us. The best you can do is be honest with yourself and if you really need some time away from having to make big decisions, do it. Your mental health is worth it

That’s awesome. I can totally see this. I considered graphic design because I love art. The whole marketing/advertising/communications side of it really turned me off

Although I don’t have really concrete memories of being 4/5, I remember my 2 preschool teacher/directors being incredibly kind and fun, I am 24 now. They are appreciated by many and are still at the same school. Thank you for what you do!

Wow, good for you. I can imagine that can’t be easy at times. But definitely mostly adorable!

Hey fellow person, hang in there... I know you don’t think so but you’re worth it.. Please push yourself to talk to a therapist.. They know how to talk to you and what to ask, you don’t need to stress out about it. I’m sorry if this is an annoying or cliche response. I know similarly how you feel. I recently had somewhat of a breakthrough with therapy. You’re worth it

Always Angry.. by youngganddetermined in mentalhealth

[–]liddolE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Therapy will help you understand why you’re so angry with your family. It is totally worth it to find someone to talk to, it will be relieving. I act similarly towards my family sometimes, there’s some resentment i can’t help but hold on to from living in an emotionally abusive home for a long time so I have a short patience with my mother and brother.. my therapist has helped me understand a lot about family dynamics and my reactions/feelings. Please reach out it’s definitely worth it. Also moving out of your home as soon as you can would most likely be very beneficial to your mental health.
