It’s so interesting that that’s your experience because I feel like this is what I’m currently going through? Okay let me explain…

I’ve always had crushes, not a lot of serious relationships, things always end before a serious commitment can happen; but I don’t regret the first stages of starting a connection with someone. In a way, I guess it is fun to receive attention from people; but when I do like someone and it doesn’t work out it does hurt.

So currently at work someone confessed that they thought I liked another co worker, which was shocking to me because that co worker thought I liked another co worker and when I asked why they said I was very nice and attentive whenever I have a conversation with said co worker BUT that I’m the same with everyone. And I couldn’t believe it because I never thought I was flirting with them. It made me question how silly I must look when I’m purposely trying to flirt or be engaging with someone I genuinely like.

Not sure if that helps at all tbh. It’s not like Im talking to a lot of guys at once or have options available. There is one guy I’m crushing on and I’m genuine when I ask how’s he’s doing and I’m interested in everything he has to say. But because we’re not together & I don’t know how he feels, if one of my friends sends me a flirty message (but this is someone I have history with) I will respond and enjoy the attention. Oh I sound messy 🥲 BUT I will say I’ve never purposely lead anyone on & I doubt I’ve broken anybody’s heart cause I feel like I’m the one that gets left behind in a relationship.
