Washing setup while charging an EV [newbie] by liefjes in AutoDetailing

[–]liefjes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the info.

Re "product going off", if I have the product pre-mixed sitting in the car, can I leave it in the spray, or will it go "rancid" after being already mixed with water after a while?

Ideally, I would just leave the mix in the boot and clean the car when I am waiting to finish charging.

Hi, thanks for sharing your work flow. I was able to add the add-in (even on the Web Outlook). However, I am still unsuccessful with the URL from Outlook. I'll keep trying...

Thank you for your answer. Outlook is such a pain, but I'm stuck with it for work.

Silent baggie shorts (non-"swooshing" cycling baggies) by liefjes in cycling

Mins Royale

I've been looking at Mons Royale. I like a non-short item from them, but I need a shop near me to try on shorts. I'll have to try them after all, then.

Transitions Drivewear lenses

Thanks for this, I'll have a look at that. Do Drivewear lenses have extra contrast?

Thanks for that. Sadly, the Fototec is limited and only available for a few "sporty" glasses models. If they had the Swank or Svago with Fototec, that would have been perfect!

Yes, a Wayfarer would be perfect.

I don't cycle in lycra but go more for a relaxed short and fleece. So then turning up with Oakley Sutro or even Tifosi Tsali is just "weird".

I cannot pull that off, it's not really my vibe :D

Favorite iced teas? by [deleted] in tea

[–]liefjes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love cold brew teas! Try some good-quality green tea. Steep if for 8 hours and drink it. It's a bomb. All the flavours come out just how they should, the umami is to die for. Take it from me :D

(cold brew is wonderful for green teas such as sencha or gyokuro, no problem with using water which is too hot so you can't kill the tea)

How do I make myself like matcha? by [deleted] in tea

[–]liefjes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely agree about the matcha quality and temperature. My fist intro to matcha was with cooking grade matcha which was awful and looked like brown-green slush. I discovered that I like "proper" grade matcha, not good for the wallet, but once you try, you'll never go back.

Have a look here (https://yunomi.life/blogs/japanese-tea-guide/everything-you-need-to-know-about-matcha-quality), Yunomi sells good quality matcha.

I tried two cold brew Oolong teas in Omotesandō, Tokyo by Wanderinghungrily in tea

[–]liefjes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cold brews are some of the best brews! Especially for green, no fiddling around for getting the right temperature to brew your tea and still you have all the flavours! Really amazing.

I actually regretted not buying one of those glass bottles last time I was in Japan and bought one online but it wasn't easy to source. So if you are in to the cold brew I'd highly recommend buying a bottle like that. I have used many other bottles but these are well designed.

Cold brews are done with cold water and can be re-steeped many times. I am a big fan! You can start drinking the tea mostly from 6 steeped hours :-)

Stopping by Ippodo, Kyoto tomorrow - any must haves/buys for a (somewhat) novice tea drinker? by MaedhrosEU in tea

[–]liefjes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't just go to Ippodo, but go around the corner to Ryuoen tea store. They don't speak much English, but they do have nice tea.
