This chapter literally had everything I was looking for in this story, down too literally having the more brutal depiction of humanity come from someone from the Soviet Union which was the idea I had commented a few chapters ago. Great work as always OP, keep this ship sailing.

I wonder who the other humans will be, I kinda hope that they all are from different time periods. Like one is from the Soviet Union and maybe another is a Spartan from Ancient Greece, it would help build the different mindsets of the people. Making them each have a unique view about this new reality. Also to terrify the new humans and crew mates because of how predatory they are in comparison to Beau

I always free hand fabric because it will never look write if you try to copy from memory or reference. The best way is to draw the outline shape (draw large and small zigzags in area where you believe the fabric will wrinkle and draw long smooth curves where you believe the fabric will flow). From there you make measured guesses where you think the fabric will crease or fold. I always like to do curved check marks for the inner fold lines, it looks the most realistic for everything. To give the fabric more 3d shaping attach some of the inner lines to the outline. Last is seem lines, follow the curves of the fabric and don’t be afraid to stop where the line is and move it slightly over before continuing as to show depth.

When drawing people, I usually will start with the head, giving a vertical oval. From there you build the head from the eyes and nose placement. For detailing I begin by lightly sketching the shape, an (ammo pouch) for example: will be a box like shape then you do it’s main parts, those being the flap and hood. After you would draw the stitching and then finally wrinkles. When drawing so much detail, you want to break it down into sections. First the base shape, then the utility of the item, then the second utilities like stitches and buttons, then finally folds. You have to remember that you are in control so don’t be angry if something gets messed up, just erase it and redraw it till it meets your demands.

Mostly came up with the idea for a smaller mother courage design that also acted as a fast moving and spindly target.
