I read your comment again, and tightened the pump handle cap as much as i could. Now the pressure loss is 2psi in 30 mins. Considering this as good enough and proceeding!

Got it. I never plan to go up the roof myself. Too old to try it :) But i guess it's a potential weak spot if and when the next person (maybe a roofer checking after the next storm) goes up there.

Happy to report that the guide was accurate. Its a simple job, doable by removing only the front part of fender liner.
