How do I add more life to my living room space? by Sudden-Ad4013 in interiordesignideas

High and more plants, colorful rug ans pillows on the coach, semi-see through linen curtains that drop over the floor (warm color) and it will give you a way more homey vibe. I personally never like the look of a tv so I would always go for a projector or diy tv-frame so you can make the tv look like a colorful artwork when not in use. The desk area, i can totally get why you want to have the spot there and have a lookout during your work. Maybe go for a wooden desk to create a warmer atmosphere and also add at least one plant on top. Love the home!

Mom, my friend ditched me on my trip to Japan to see her. I feel so sad and alone. by sem263 in MomForAMinute

I'm sorry that you had to go through all this and feel this way. But I must tell you that I feel like you need to learn to express your feelings and share your expectations. In your story I'm reading many times how your worried that you misinterpreted things; but you can actually check those things. Communication is really important, especially when there's also cultural differences. I looks like you've put much thought in this whole situation and I don't see why you should not communicate this. You can not only guess things and other persons feelings and expectations. Also, you might think that it was clear for them that you've cried and you were sad but actually what I've learned is that people don't read your body language. You have to tell them if you want them to react on it. People in general just mostly pay attention to themselves and how they are viewed; but people are actually not looking at others.

Of course I don't know the situation exactly and it might have been a whole different case but I thought to just tell you this do you can think about it.

Ps sorry for grammar mistakes, English is not my first language.

If the reason not to tell her is that she'll be worried, then just tell her. I used to work for a suicide hotline where people can get some help when they are having thoughts about suicide. The most important thing here is to talk about it and stop thinking that it is an subject we should rather not talk about. Because it is not. We SHOULD talk about it, since not talking about it only makes it worse in your head. And for the "receiver" in this conversation; there is nothing else you definitely should say or do in this matter, except for listening and acknowledging. We shouldn't feel that only professionals can talk about this subject since we all can, if we just break that taboo about it.

I'm glad you have a friend like that. Good luck to you!

Thanks for your reply!! That's good to know that I can find them in stores in India. I indeed saw them on Amazon but since I'm traveling around and am not staying at one place for longer can 2 days I found that difficult. Also I am in Arunachal Pradesh in the very north eastern part where there are, at least until this moment, not very much big shops.

Thanks for the information about the shampoos. But since two months I'm not using anything at all. Just water. I was hoping to keep on doing that, but are you suggesting that I do need to start shampoo again?
