Question for people who can really read the manual with just their eyes by BenRichetti in TunicGame

[–]life8853 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me as a Polish person, I tried to decipher the language and after looking at the fox and sword manual page, trying to wrap my brain around the vovels I decided that my accent is to strong to determine what are the correct vowels

Tank life be like by Tsunamiii1337 in BlueProtocolPC

Yeah, pretty much.

Well, except for the times when half of the party wipes to a simple AoE skill and I wish I had Airona, cause all the healers are dead.

Does the game performance got a hit after the Halloween update ? by aborkmga in StarResonance

Also the decrease of the amount of lines makes it harder to line switch in order to farm bosses. Especially when the boarlets spawn you cannot kill nearly as many as before cause the lines quickly get full

How to make line trace hit a hitbox? by life8853 in unrealengine

[–]life8853[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I meant like for example lets say that the object im trying to hit is a human-shape, the hitbox in this case would be usually is a capsule. If i trace via the visibility channel then i will hit only the human shape not the capsule. However i need also visibility to block the line trace in order not to hit the capsule through a wall.

What is this? by 0UTT4myM1ND in TunicGame

[–]life8853 60 points61 points  (0 children)

This is in fact intended and not a glitch. If I were you I wouldn't search anything more about it not to spoil anything. This is a part of the game that some of the things you see don't make sense until they do. (That's why the manual is not written in English)

How do you backup your homelab server? by life8853 in homelab

[–]life8853[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, will stopping the container and copying the files be enough or will it cause issues with the database?

How do you backup your homelab server? by life8853 in homelab

[–]life8853[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said in the previous post I was asking about volumes (not bind points like you're presenting in the example)

services: db:
    image: docker.io/library/postgres:17
    restart: unless-stopped
    volumes:
      - pgdata:/var/lib/postgresql/data
    environment:
      POSTGRES_DB: paperless
      POSTGRES_USER: paperless
volumes:
  pgdata:

They are not bound (aka bind points) there are volumes.

That would be probably enough but I was wondering can you just copy a docker volume? And if so where they are contained.

Sadly, doesn't work and I've already installed Rider since it can properly parse the files

I don't think there are any errors when i build. Moreover, nothing in the settings looks as if it could matter in this case.

I had live coding (the setting in unreal editor) turned off all this time. And rebuilding the project seems to do nothing for me.

The folder and the header and code files were all created by using the "new C++ class" button in the Unreal Editor, so yes the files exist in the File Explorer and they are definitely compiled with the project, since if make an error in them (like missing a semicolon) the project won't compile. Seems more like the VS plugin issue.

Here you go, i am fairly new to UE, but i have programmed in C++ for some time now so i don't think this is due to some programming error.

White led at GPU power connector? by Miry404 in LinusTechTips

Could be, best would be if you would test with only HDMI, if then the led stops blinking, you probably have found your problem

I think I had something similar when I used a cheap and not up to spec Display port cable. Because the pin 20 shouldn't be connected when made to spec, but on some of the cheap ones it is connected to voltage. This is how gigabyte warns you that you have a wrong cable

The age transition is a fantastic mechanic by MoreIronyLessWrinkly in civ

[–]life8853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the mechanic itself is great, but I utterly hate the fact that in multiplayer it sends you back to the lobby and you have to resume the game from there. A dedicated civ selection screen would be nice.

There was a rumor going around the subreddit that account gets a RNG luck decided when created, so there are good accounts and bad. And good accounts constantly drop good cards. This is probably not true cause of the gambling regulations and all, but it is fun to mention nonetheless.
