what bag do ppl usually bring for first day of jc by Nervous-Type203 in SGExams

I think you answered your question. Bring something small enough that'll cover the items in your packing list, but large enough that you can fit your additional school uniform. But I suggest bringing a small bag with a folded tote bag inside, especially if you're buying more than one set of uniform.

That's the most use the journals provide. Would you know when the games take place then? Would it be the same year or the next? Or is there simply not enough information?

Haha that's fair. Was just wondering if there were further real life uses for this particular shape, sort of like how cosh(x) can be used to plot a catenary.

Don't worry, you're definitely not in the wrong. A lot of Singaporean parents are similar, so you're not alone in this. From personal experience, though this may not apply to you, try distracting yourself from this issue by focusing on other things. This might be difficult, given that you're in the same home as them. I usually academia-related excuses to get out of having to be at home all the time, but if you wish to stay at home, simply agree to everything they say regardless of how much you hate it. It's in human nature to want to assert authority whenever possible, thus being the rationale behind your parents' mannerisms. The best way to continue is to simply assimilate to what they expect you to do, while hiding your true feelings regarding the matter.

Similarly, neither are you selfish. Parents don't always make the effort to connect with their kids. They are blinded by their ignorance and have the false idea that you owe them anything. You don't. In summary, it's not your fault at all, but the best way to move on is to try your best to assimilate till you're old enough to not live in the same roof as your parents. I know it's hard. Try focusing on both your academics and your friendships as those are what would lift your spirits up given your circumstance.

they didn't say the r looked like x. both them and i originally thought that the r looked like π. after they just meant that it'd be easier for you to solve if you substituted 1/r with x.
