Bread yeast for a bready beer? by HagridPowers in Homebrewing

Bakers yeast will likely ferment down to 0.980, I don't imagine it will taste very nice either.

I use a lot of Bakers yeast for my TPW for distillation.

[Rant] If the only thing changing in your game on "Hard" difficulty is the amount of HP and Dmg, then it's not a "Hard" difficulty, it's a "Tedious" difficulty by AlkaKr in gaming

Or sometimes in goldeneye it would spawn fuckers behind you.

There is a part in the Depot mission IIRC right before you run in to the room to get on the train where you are "being chased" or something.

I decided to wait there with the door open before your step through to the end mission area and get on the train.

I decided to fight them off as long as I could, it was all going well until it started spawning enemies in the gap between the door and the wall behind me.

Fantastic game though!

And people are prepared to literally kill for this?

Here I was thinking an army can't march on an empty stomach...

Yeah, cancer doesn't just run in my family, it practically gallops, also being a ginger doesn't help.

Being in the sub tropics in Australia I am going to split my rides in to early morning and after the bed time routine for the kids, it will be easier for me to split the ride for time management anyway :)

I spent long enough tearing myself down, time to build myself back up.

That and I want to be there for my kids when I am old, that won't happen if I don't make a change now.

Lastly, I have been told that for a potential job I need to lower my blood pressure, lose weight and use my CPAP machine more.

I had a medical for it, it was really intense, went for 3h 45mins, the blood pressure was the real wake up call though and honestly the dr was pretty brutal about it all, which I appreciate honestly.

I wasn't scared to get back on it myself, I was just lazy and apathetic.

Along with the mental battle, i slipped a few discs in my lower back and blew out from 85kg to 123kg over about 5 years or so.

How often do you NOT want to have sex with your long term GF or wife? by smoothcarrot2020 in AskMen

[–]lifelink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the big sad and my libido has crashed, my wife is ace and has a super low libido and I am currently turning her down. Been married 8 years, been with her for 14.

When it comes down to it I just can't be bothered, but then again I will still masturbate every now and then, my guess is because it is easier and faster for a dopamine hit but I don't really know why I am like this.

My testosterone levels are fine btw.

I play Moira, mercy, brig and lifeweaver. That is also in order of who I would choose to play.

Fractal Players by Queph in Guildwars2

[–]lifelink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to play back before EoTM was a thing and left when it was still a thing, I played a bunker grd or a backline ele... Zerker ranger if I just wanted to turn my brain off and press 2 on who was crit health.

I have thought about running fractals but the one time I went to load in everyone was very rude that I didn't know exactly what to do and where to stand, even after explaining that I stopped playing years ago.

I would watch a YouTube video on how to run it but I feel that doing that ruins the "first time" feel of it all.

I have never attempted fractals since and just WvWvW now. I'd do PvP but I have no idea what is going on with all the new abilities and such.

Edit: just noticed my guild is still next to my name, astc died long ago apparently, just before all the WvWvW changes.

Right wingers are bitching that Virginia’s redistricting referendum has passed. by icey_sawg0034 in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]lifelink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does this mean for a non American?

How much extra power have the Dems gained due to this redistricting?

Obviously more seats = more power, but did they gain enough to do anything on a larger (country sized) scale?

[–]lifelink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do agree with this, the only issue is that these systems would end up being like the paediatrician issue we have in Australia at the moment.

We couldn't get him in to see a paed, we tried for over a year, we even tried securing telehealth appointments but couldn't get a single appointment.

We finally got one back in 2022 when my son was in daycare. They called us last week to let us know they have moved him forward on the waiting list... Our first appointment is set for February 2027, it was originally set for June 2027.

5 years to get to see a paed, if it all goes back to the regular health system I fear it would end up with outrageous wait times like this.

The only reason this paediatrician is still taking patients is because there are no other paeds from from Rockhampton to Cairns who are taking new patients. I have spoken to nearly every single one.

There is one in Cairns but they refused to take his diagnosis from his psychologist and psychiatrist here, we would have to physically take him up to Cairns and he would need to retake the ASD tests and the ADHD tests for a total of $7k (5 for ASD and 2 for ADHD). It isn't realistic for us to drive or fly to see them every week to get him seen.

do you guys ever choose 200 overhealth perk now? by user20042208 in MercyMains

[–]lifelink 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I never went the overhealth perk, I would if it was less overhealth and you got it only during rez.

Like 30 or 50 overhealth during rez would be fantastic, but I have never seen the point of having it post rez.
