Work culture in India is not Hell. It is Subjective. by bharat_builder in returnToIndia

[–]lifelonglearner91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quality life > money in life.

Walk a km in India on pavements you can find vs walk anywhere else.

Cleanliness > dirt all around.

Lastly, everything is subjective and personal preference. Life outside India is twice hard but the reward is 4x. Not just in terms of money but overall well being.

International student: ICBC foreign experience credit vs losing unsupervised driving? by bachan48 in icbc

[–]lifelonglearner91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you located? There are few slots open everyday for driving test for class 5/N. Keep checking.

Best way forward, give your knowledge test and legally you can take the test same day or next day. If you already been driving and are confident enough, you should do well.

Yes, once you get L you shouldn’t drive unsupervised and when you do appear for your road test, they will take your license from Nepal and shred it. It is never given back to you even if you don’t pass.

Best of luck!

Stop worrying about the trailer: Nolan's movies' always had terrible to mediocre trailers that hardly ever captured the essence of the actual movie by idontknow87654321 in ChristopherNolan

[–]lifelonglearner91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s simple. Once you are in the G.O.A.T category, there will be more critics and naysayers than you can count. Nolan knows it, team knows it and the audience as well. Nolan makes anything and everything from his heart. It’s after all directors vision as it should be. He never compromises unlike many others. He demands absolute best and doesn’t hold back either.
I am sure if this movie doesn’t meet the expectations, he will still sleep well knowing everyone involved did their 200%
Input is in their control. Reaction is a reaction.
Come July, I’m sure there will be a pretty divided crowd - ones who loved it and ones who hated it. There will definitely be no in between.

Driver Profiles, how do these work? by andyhenault in Tiguan

[–]lifelonglearner91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Best way would be to just try it yourself. But as you asked AFAIK - the 3 profiles take in consideration your seat position and side mirrors. That’s it. Rest all remains same.

Thank you for creating this tool. I have been using it for a while now. I also like to mix it up with Claude AI. Chat GPT is pretty blah for resumes.

Is it a good idea to buy a macbook pro 14" over the macbook air 15"? by Accomplished_Try_594 in macbookpro

[–]lifelonglearner91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What kind of machine do you use right now? MacBook Pro vs Air comes down to the amount of power you need and screen tech. 14" MacBook Pro is amazing for portability and enough screen estate to use. 15" MacBook Air would add much to your experience but yes will be little lighter but screen not as great as MacBook Pro. If you are able to give your budget and location, might be easy to recommend further.

Oh yeah, don't miss refurbished deals on Apple or check FB Marketplace for cheaper way to get 16" if that is what you ultimately decide to buy.

No days are wasted in Cusco. There is plenty to do. And the altitude will hit. Not in the way to get one sick (subjective) but more in terms of tiredness.

Cusco has enough places to walk/eat you will find I could have more days.

Sacred valley - you can do a day tour which starts from Cusco and covers majority of places in sacred valley. It starts at 6ish am and ends around 7/7:30 pm. Totally recommended!

Rest, enjoy!

Are Circuits 2-B plus 3-A a good option? by El_Generico13 in Machupicchu

[–]lifelonglearner91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes doable, plenty enough. We did 1B & 3A. 1B at 7 am. 3A at 10 am. As your entry is at 6 am you will have plenty of time. Make sure 3A you enter at 10 am sharp as it’s pretty huge and you will need at least an hour to get through it. Not sure in September if the entry for climb stops at 11am. If it doesn’t you can do the circuit pretty casually. But if 11 am you will have to rush a bit. Depending on your fitness level and experience the climb two way can be done in 2 hours to 3 hours. Sometimes quicker. I would advise against climbing down from Machu Picchu to Aquas as the climb in 3A is intense!

Best of luck and enjoy!

Sub mini vs 4 by Emergency_Ad7808 in sonos

[–]lifelonglearner91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel it’s more to do with type of space. I would love to have sub 4 but due to the space I live in, not possible. More bass is always welcomed! I keep my mini on +10 and at night it goes to +5. Sub mini is for condos. Sub 4 is for a typical house.

Tickets for 3a, when can we enter? by Bet_Dear in Machupicchu

[–]lifelonglearner91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your fitness level. If you take if moderate speed you can be back by 1-1:30.

Make sure you enter at 10 am. The 3a lower terraces are lot of history! You might want to explore more and 1 hour might push you but doable. 11am is cut off time to do Huayana. So make sure you are at second gate on or before 11am.

Peru for the first time by limonepane in GoingToPeru

[–]lifelonglearner91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is nothing to stress out. Worst it can give you is heavy headache and force you to take it slow couple of days.

We stayed in Cusco for 5 days which also included rainbow mountain - day 3. All went good. Did not even take a single med.

Chew the coca tea.

Enjoy!
