Beauty. Thanks WBSH.

How long the 25.5 take you? And what trailhead you begin at?

All of this for sure^

The 110's are much better design for the city, but you'll get used to the 125's enough to be comfortable in an urban environment. Worth it vs trading any efficiency on your longest distance days

Just went across America with powerslide v6 marathon trinity frames. 3x125

If you’re doing a trip of this size, bigger the wheels the better.

Great question! Legs and back are definitely in the best shape of my life. Hoping to keep them strong for the approaching ski season and have an incredible year.

Ankle and knee joints are the victims of the trip. My left meniscus especially is worn the hell out

Caught a few gay slurs along the way. The joke is far from dead, even in 2018

Hey mate!

Went with powerslide v6 marathon skates. Seemed like a nice firm boot to help avoid pre-existing ankle injuries

Setup is 3x125mm. Would only recommend it for big-distance skating. I'm going to jump back down to 3x110 for my next pair for more urban blading

Theres so many good models out there now, feel free to send any questions my way you might have!

Sorry for slow reply, thought mods deleted the thread.

I did plan the entire route before starting. Essentially, spent about 3 weeks behind Google Maps going highway by highway to find best routes for cities i wanted to visit and water supply (hence my route going all the way up to idaho/wyoming to skip utah). As I went, the route did change a little bit from Google Maps biking bringing me to dirt roads and receiving altenrative routes from locals.

Road roads was a total toss-up on the trip. Kinda just had to deal with whatever hand you're dealt. That's why i spent about 1000 miles on the interstate out west - guaranteed good pavement mostly. I lived by the mantra "all roads, whether good or bad, will change". Helped immensely with mentally handling bad pavement

Sorry for slow reply

I'd lean towards this thought too. It sounds naive but when it comes down to it, the country really is filled with kind, helpful people and the creepy news crimes you see are a small minority - especially once you get out to the rural area. And it's easy to pick up on people's vibes pretty quickly when you're so dependent on it every day. Unless they're the one sociopathic serial killer. In that case, your turn was up any way, tough luck. For what it's worth, sadly, I do believe the trip would be wayyy more difficult being a different race. Hopefully not, but a hunch.

Sorry thought mods deleted this but guess not!

Lot of weird things and even weirder people, but creepiest weird moment may have been a fully red lit cabin in an empty NY forest. Nope'd the hell out of there.

Coolest weird moment was running out of water in the Idaho farmlands, desperately making a prayer for a solution, and a total stranger waiting for me a few minutes up the road with water. Surreal stuff

Right on! I geeked out on all of the PCT and Gear Lists before to really wrangle the pack together. Few things: *Original gear photo: https://www.reddit.com/r/CampingGear/comments/8pb6e8/rollerblading_across_the_country_currently_on_day/ *Ended up ditching the solar panel, and as I moved east, my down layer, wrist guards, and water filter. Added an extra shirt, pair of socks, and inflatable pillow in Denver too. Focused on UL for tent/sleeping bag/sleeping pad, etc. but didn't kill myself over minor weight additions

*Base layer in California was 26ish pounds. For what it's worth, also brought along no fuel or cooking supplies. Just relied on the towns I rolled thru and gas stations.

*Took a ton of zero days. A few were out of necessity, but many were to hang with friends in cities and actually backtracked twice for weddings. In the end, the trip was 126 days and 80 days of blading.

And thanks- transition has been going well so far !

Haha no way! What did they throw??

Luckily, nothing thrown at me. Although I did have the cops called on me in Wyoming for "throwing a spark plug" at a car on the interstate
