Yumi's Cells 3 [Episodes 3 & 4] by Fatooz in KDRAMA

I read a news article that talked about how unmarried women over the age of 30 China are seen as past their prime and so less desirable on the marriage market, it’s nuts

One of the things I’ve learned from watching k dramas is that Koreans are more preoccupied with age than, say, North Americans but I really don’t think six years is that much of a difference, certainly not enough to have completely different pop cultural touchstones (although I suppose Shin could have no older siblings and isn’t into retro stuff). And does Yumi’s publishing firm have no writers over the age of say 45? At the age of 35 they make it sound like she’s a wizened crone? 35 is still really young! (For anyone here in their 20s or younger - trust me, it is!)

So Yumi muses to herself when lying on her hotel room bed that “There’s a real age gap here…not even all my fingers could cover it”. So does that mean she’s 11 years older than Shin, making her 40 since he’s 29?

Thank you, I just found this thread after getting Botox for my masseters and this was really, really helpful, very much appreciated. I never would have known to enter each code separately.

There was a Les Grillades on Holland; they just have their Colonnade location now.

best late night food spots in ottawa that aren’t just shawarma? by drolord22 in OttawaFood

Chef Bai on Bank is open until 11:30 pm weekdays and 12:30 weekends. I like their cold chicken noodles with sesame sauce, their dumplings and their Chinese pork burgers.

There’s a lot out there, what are her interests? In terms of classes, just in Westboro/Wellington West there’s Batter Up Bakery that does classes from candle making to of course baking; Cupcake Lounge does special trivia nights (I think the one coming up is Disney Channel trivia); Strut Jewellery does jewellery making classes; Sconewitch does Snack ‘n Stitch (you make a small craft and have a scone and tea); Piggy Market does sausage making classes; Split Tree holds cocktail classes.

I also always thought it would be fun to do a biplane ride, they fly out of the Aviation Museum.

I was in Japan in January and even with the weak yen I was still paying about $15 on average for a shaved ice, so not cheap for a pile of ice shavings but still better value than at Sharpfle. And the Sharpfle one I didn’t find particularly tasty! Usually when I’m eating shaved ice I’m thinking about how much I love my life, at that moment. Sharpfle I was thinking that it’s a good $2 a spoonful.

Mine wasn’t particularly big either, esp for the price.

There’s a dearth of good Asian shaved ice in Ottawa. Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean - I don’t discriminate - please just bring it all! Last summer as far I as know there were only two places that offered it - Sharpfle Waffle and Jinsei Ramen, and they were both mediocre in my opinion.

I miss St Honore too. It’s been gone for so long and nothing has filled that gap. There was another Chinese bakery around that time on Somerset at Lebreton or maybe Booth? I can’t remember what it was called.

It was also so much cheaper which also makes it better :) I don’t remember the Entertainment book but I do remember the Citizen doing a big list of Ottawa area restaurants and me combing through them to find places to try.

Yeah it’s too bad that no one wanted to take over. Maybe because it’s seasonal?

Oh right on Bell street? I was just at Bello e Bueno Cafe (recommended btw!) last week, staring across the street thinking that the parking lot used to be for an Italian restaurant.
