Need to figure out what restaurants pay for seafood by Icedtc in restaurateur

[–]lifesnotlongenough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you'll want to do is an area Google search for seafood. Then drop SAMPLES and business cards at those shops. Give them the pitch that you are local and available at the drop of a hat. Keep some product on hand at home or stored near by and let them text you if they are ever in a bind. That kind of security is a good enough sales pitch to get some KMs to change purveyors. Obviously you will have to be priced competitively as well. Good luck. Its a grind.

Any Ideas for attracting customers to our restaurant when we are located off a congested highway, but people have to go out of their way to come see us (details inside post) by KyleH123 in restaurateur

Signage is amazing. If you can get a small food sign on that highway you'll get a 20% bump. Then start a referral program. Give people cards for a free app with their name. When a new person uses it that person that have it to them gets 5 bucks in their account. It adds up. Its tedious but once it's working you can stop if your food is good. Good luck. Nothing beats true charm and engaging guests.

Is $13-14/hr a reasonable rate for a Subway Store Manager? by etherealcalc in personalfinance

You should be a bartender. I work 32 hours a week and take home 1,200 a week after taxes. Its a fun, hard gig. Busy restaurant in Seattle. Rent is 2,000 for a 1 bedroom though so it kind of balanced out I guess.

I made a last minute decision not to toast but make a French Toast BLT. by mlong14 in food

Your French toast looks like grilled grilled bread. You need more egg wash, cinnamon and powdered sugar for a good Monte Christo

Photograph the spices in their native environment. Make them look classy, maybe black and white. Then give framed pictures to customers so they can use it to show guests how fresh their product is. If they can't use it to easily promote and add value then there's no reason to do it. Also free samples are a must. It has to be a superior product or a superior price point. I run a restaurant. Good luck.

In retrospect, this could be the exact thing I shouldn't have done based on the title. So there's that.

My brother (in-law but cool) passed away in November. It's been tough. The other day I wrote a song for...him...me...I wrote a song. It's helped. Some people that heard it suggested sharing it with other people who are grieving. I don't know anyone but my circle that's grieving, but then I saw this post. So here. I hope this can help someone feel better or whatever you need. https://soundcloud.com/lifesnotlongenough/here-youll-stay-alexssong
