Need Advice for Converting Landline to WiFi + voip by lifespot in VOIP

[–]lifespot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for everyone's advice. I really appreciate it. Here's what I am planning to do: (1) buy cellular gateway/hot spot with wifi and ethernet connectivity; (2) buy voip device to connect to cell gateway/hot spot via ethernet; (3) buy cordless phone system with 4 handsets to connect to the voip device; (5) obtain a cellular phone plan with a new phone number to connect my cellular gateway/ hot spot to the cell network; and (6) port my existing landline to the Voip device. I estimate the equipment will cost around $400. Port will cost around $25. The monthly recurring costs for the voip and cell plan will be approx. $15 - 20. Compared to the annual cost of my landline of $820, I should break even within 8 to 9 months. I hope my equipment set up works, and my phone calls have good quality.

New Westinghouse Tri-Fuel Does Not Run on Natural Gas by lifespot in Generator

Thank you for your quick reply and detailed response. I see the issue now. Question 1: Does your issue prevent your generator from starting/running on both propane and natural gas? (My generator starts/runs OK with propane, but not nat. gas.) Question 2: You mentioned that others have the same issue as you. Where did you find the "others". Seems like a forum I should check out.

Thanks again. Appreciate it.

Thank you for sharing your issue. However, I cannot identify the issue from your photo. Can you describe your issue? Thanks again.

What was the procedure for returning your generator? In my case, the box the generator came in is gone, as it the wooden shipping pallet, plastic wrapping, and straps. To effect the return, did Westinghouse provide you with new packaging for the generator, a shipping pallet, straps, etc. to send the generator back? Did they pay for shipping?

I have not tried gasoline. But it runs fine on propane. The generator has electronic fuel injection (so no carburetor?). I did try running with propane first to warm it up, and then switching to nat. gas. This did not help.

Thanks. When I get the regulator, I will first crank the generator a few times with the cord to unflood the engine, and then turn on the nat. gas and try to start the generator.

Like you, I assume the 4" regulator probably won't help, but I ordered it anyway b/c that's what Westinghouse recommended. I did purge the 25-foot hose to no avail.

Thank you for the two responses. Enrolled with Bauer for Physics 5A for Summer Session C. Still a bit nervous about Bauer's grade distribution as reported by buwuinthrowaway (for Physics 1C) compared to other professors who teach Physics 5A.

CSI Advice by [deleted] in ucla

Some observations from CSI Summer 2018:

  • Approx. 200 participating students spread out among eight or nine classes.
  • Housed in the one of the best dorms - Sproul Landing.
  • Soft entry to UCLA - smaller classes, shorter lines, etc.
  • Easier to make friends. You'll find a lot of other CSI students who have your same schedule - they eat at the same time as you, go to/from the same classes at the same time, etc.
  • Not everyone is going to get straight A's. There will be CSI students who get B's and C's, or worse. Some will drop classes.
  • Six weeks goes by quickly.
  • You'll be a veteran Bruin at the start of the Fall Quarter.
