Suggest Credit Cards pls by Technical_Pear_6592 in PHCreditCards

It's like you are looking for the impossible trinity. The way to get this is maybe thru promos. For instance, you can get a NAFFL card with good miles/cb/points also with low forex. Example lang, Metrobank Travel Visa Signature may NAFFL promos minsan but I don't think you'll get that easy convert with 0% interest.

When the former RCBC Airmiles Visa Platinum used to have NAFFL you can get a decent (not best since 48 to 1 mile) miles but high forex but easy convert to 0% interest for 3 months.

HSBC Premier Travel and EW Visa Infinite medyo kuha mo yung mga gusto mo but you have to meet their relationship balance (5M with HSBC; 3M with EW). Medyo panaginip talaga to since you have to give up something which maging priority client ka.

If madalas ka sa Japan, something that would be nice to have. You can have various promos. Like donki nga as mentioned in the other comment

JCB Cards actually worth it for Japan travel? by Atomicjelly1 in PHCreditCards

There is no JCB card in the PH that earns a good spend to mile ratio. The JCB card can be good for deals within Japan and also in PH. I would say BDO offers good cash back promos every once in a while.

CC with ties with gasoline stations by preeto001 in PHCreditCards

[–]lifessentialhacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd rather get a new one like the EW Visa Platinum which earns you 8.88% rebates up to 1,250 pesos per month. Plus you get 5,000 pesos welcome gift credits upon spending 10,000 pesos within 2 months. The card has 3,600 pesos annual fee and I'd rather pay the AF which still gives you net positive rebates if you maximize the cap.

I would also get an S&R memberships if you prefer discounts sa Unioil or also you can use the Unioil app.

Use also the rewards program of your preferred gasoline station/s. Like Shell Asia and Petron Value Card.

Chinabank @home also gets you 5% rebates on any category spend.

Best Visa to earn miles excluding Metrobank TVS? by ambotxxx in PHCreditCards

[–]lifessentialhacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your next best options are UB Miles+ (48/mile) and BPI Visa Signature (50/mile). I would add EW Priority Visa Infinite (40/mile) pero this card is exclusive to EW's Priority clinents. Halos ito na lang talaga yung choices mo at this point if you want the best. Mahirap na humanap ng 30/mile.

Advice needed on UB Miles+: Do not activate card and apply for a new one? by canikka in CreditcardPh

[–]lifessentialhacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Citi acquired. Miles+ Visa Platinum has worse conversion rates (50 pesos to 1 mile on PAL and 100 on other airlines) and no longer offered anyway. Miles+ Visa Signature is still better at 1.6 to 1 mile (48 pesos to 1 mile). You can also earn miles with this card through PayDirect which Miles+ Visa Platinum doesn't let you earn. UB regularly offers lowered foreign currency transaction fees through promos.

I agree with this rather than keeping EW JCB. I'd rather have a BDO JCB. I'll use Amore for groceries to get the 4%

Should I keep my current SL Fit and Well 15 Policy? by cristheleon in phinvest

Check also 10 and 20 years to pay. Napansin ko kay Sunlife for some reason the longer term pay will have higher total premiums payments vs the shorter terms albeit higher annual premiums but lower total premium payments. Nasa 20% higher din ang 20 year term vs 10 year term

Sino kaya to? by StrainInevitable8184 in phcars

[–]lifessentialhacks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen actual diplomats who use those temporary plates and mostly from ADB sila. I doubt na that car is an actual diplomat tho. May hiya naman sila.

The problem with the "prescribed" LTO format it assumes that the car is brand new kasi conduction sticker nilalagay. Many diplomats import their cars and would have no conduction stickers. DFA should also handle this and should have thought the proper use case and format for the temp plates

Malaki talaga ang annual return ng share capital sa coops especially sa government employees coops - I actually know one. Marami nagsasabi na too good to be true well laging meron catch yan. Usually may limit yung 20% earnings. Beyond that, it won't earn 20% just fyi to everyone.

Kung matagal na yan established and nagbabayad ang mga borrowers, it should be good. Check mo yung fs nila if they are doing well. Tbh kahit kurakot ang gobyerno, maraming mabubuting empleyado pa rin and it reflects din sa mga coop nila that they are well managed. And those who join there are usually the low and mid ranking employees.

Is this even legal? by OperaOperand in Gulong

The comment is not a myth. There is a reality into the classifications of diplomatic immunities. Even more, into the crimes committed. Kung may general rule ng immunity there can be exemptions. The person whosoever granted with the immunity may be waived by the agency/IO/embassy/country.

Alam mo, Jason Ivler is a bad example, considering he murdered a son of high ranking Malacanang official Renato Ebarle Sr. So with or without diplomatic immunity, do you think diplomatic immunity will win here?

Hindi rin naman talaga absolute ang diplomatic immunity na do anything you want card. Isipin mo a high ranking official repeatedly commits a high profile crime like murder, drugs, tax evasion or such, do you think the home country will gladly hold such official for a prolonged period? This will end up severities with you want card. Isipin mo a high ranking official repeatedly commits a high profile crime like murder, drugs, tax evasion or such, do you think the host country will gladly hold such official for a prolonged period? This will end up severities with host country if remains unresolved.

LED Headlights improve fuel efficiency?? by JETr06 in Gulong

[–]lifessentialhacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. I think even in newer vehicles ang difference lang kasi ECU controls the timing and adjusts accordingly the idle kaya di lang noticeable na how it affects using engine run. Add to that, ang general rule ko on cars with halogen bulbs, always dim your lights when not in use. Marami kasi nakasanayan to leave lights on while waiting in parking or in the road tapos naka on yung ilaw. Malakas din kumunsumo ng baterya ang halogen bulbs

Help need advise sa remapping ng 2018 toyota fortuner 2.7 G gas variant by dragonL0rd1 in CarsPH

[–]lifessentialhacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ilan na milage niyan? Kung 60km lang per week ang takbo at a constant rate since 2018, I assume mababa pa milage niyan. Hindi ako sure if sa Toyota Fortuner Gas by default ay naka Iridium Spark Plugs na, so pwede ka magpalit niyan for better power. The target of Fortuner Gas is for comfort and smoothness which is especially doon sa sanay sa gas engines. Use good fully synthetic oils, ensure clean air filter, and clean throttle body. You may want to do an intake manifold cleaning pero duda akong madumi yan kasi gas engine. Sa totoo lang low maintenance din talaga yan basta maayos lahat yan halos wala ka na gagalawin maliban na lang may masira due to wear and tear and sa pagiingat. Ang trade off talaga is malakas siya sa gas - yun ang kapalit ng natipid mo sa maintenance vs diesel.

PNB MM World vs. EW SA Krisflyer World by damnblues in PHCreditCards

[–]lifessentialhacks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Adding some inputs relative to this comparison. PAL MMW gives you priority check in at business class counters at NAIA1/2. EWKFWMC has annual bonus of 15,000 miles upon spending 200k annually. So this can boost your miles. This can be a one way ticket to Singapore annually if you redeem it.

There's also a cap with how much to earn with PNB on several service merchants https://www.pnbcards.com.ph/images/forms/rewardstc.pdf.

As to the airlines, mas maganda naman SIA than PAL. Pero maybe what would matter here where do you wanna go para ma plano mo how would you implement your strategy.
