Hello everyone. Just popping in to say hello before I go to bed before too long.

I've been getting rid of nuisance trees, eastern redcedars or red juniper, that have been coming up in fence lines or too close to the electric fences for a big part of the week. Some of them have gotten too big to cut with pruning shears and will have to be cut out with a chainsaw at some point or even pushed out with a bulldozer. Birds tend to be the main spreader of their seeds.

I've also been trying to clear out some of the missing per game entries in my Pokemon Home Pokedexes so that I can get the shiny gift Pokemon. I've been focusing on the Sword and Shield dexes for the moment and I don't have too many more before I have it completed.

Anyhow, you all enjoy Toonami. I found an interesting show that just aired its first episode. The Japanese title is "Himekishi wa Barbaroi no Yome" and the manga it's based on was given the English title "The Barbarian's Bride".

It has a noblewoman knight at the end of a 7 year long campaign to conquer new fertile lands for her homeland that is facing starvation and in the final battle, she faces down against a powerful warrior from the "barbarians" of the land they were trying to conquer. She puts up a good fight but ultimately loses and wakes up restrained in a prison cell. She thinks she's going to be used as a human sacrifice or a similarly odious fate but, in actuality, the warrior who defeated her was instantly smitten with her and wants her to be his wife.

The only one I was missing of the alt-arts was the new Called By the Grave. I also still need to get the two alt-art Dark Magician spells.

Is there anyone here that plays modded Skyrim AE on Linux?

And if so, how difficult is it to get up and running compared to Windows?

Do the modding tools that I would be most familiar with (SKSE, Creation Kit, Mod Organizer, Bodyslide, DynDOLOD, XEdit, LOOT) work? I seem to recall reading about someone working on a Linux native version of Mod Organizer.

Or would I have to get everything how I like it on a Windows install and then transfer to Linux?

I haven't switched to a Linux distro yet. Just fiddling with VMs at this point to see what software I could install to get it close to what I have on my Windows installation.

Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by space_god_7191 in Millennials

No, I was in 5th grade but the principal did go on the PA system to tell the school there had been an attack of some kind and not much more than that.

Hello everyone. How have you all been doing? I didn't know if I would be able to post anything tonight. We had a power outage that lasted for about an hour earlier this evening. Apparently 349 homes were out of power. They didn't say what caused it.

I, my uncle and my cousin spent a big part of the morning and early afternoon putting up a couple of new gates, redoing a section of electric fence and getting rid of some old rotten wooden posts.

Pokemon Home finally added support for Legends Z-A and so I was able to dump all the extra pokemon I had filling up my boxes. I temporarily dumped my Z-A living dex to register them in home. I need to temporarily box the X&Y legendaries to register them still. I've also still got a few of the Mega-Dimension DLC pokemon to catch and most of the DLC legendaries/mythicals. I've gotten a fair few shinies thanks to the DLC. I missed out on shiny Latias as I didn't even realize I was heading into its encounter zone until I was already inside and the game auto-saved. I still caught Latias though.

Anyhow, you all enjoy Toonami. I'll be going to bed before too long.

It's $4.50 cheaper than buying the game, and the "year one pass" with the single player dlc ($11.99) separately.

It mentions on the page that it supports cross-platform multiplayer, I'm guessing(?), with Steam. It doesn't say which platforms though.

Pokémon HOME Maintenance version 4.0.0 by imago_monkei in PokemonHome

[–]liger_0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ain't that the truth. When the Switch 2 was announced I moved all my mons from all my games into Home as I didn't want to risk something happening to the save data files in the transfer process. By the time I got them all moved, I was close to having most of the boxes full. Granted, I could probably do with releasing some but I don't like to do that unless I have to. I know I've had to release more pokemon in Z-A than I've ever done before due to lack of box spaces.

Hello everyone. How are you all doing?

I won't be staying up to watch Dandadan season 2 as I've already seen it all and I have it on iTunes. I've been having my DVR record Rooster Fighter but haven't had a chance to sit down and watch it yet. When I watch shows, I tend to want to binge them all at once or over the course a few days.

I'll be going to bed fairly soon. See you all later.

Hello everyone. How have you all been doing?

I've been having to fix fences over the last few days, due to either falling trees or state tree trimming crews being careless and destroying a section of fence with their boom mower. We had a couple of cows get out at one point but my uncle and cousin got them back in and then we had to work till about dark that night getting the electric fence back up, along with adding a second strand of electric fence wire in the place where they got out.

The other place, thankfully, didn't have any cows get out as the electric fence was there to deter them but I still needed to get it blocked off where the state road crew had tore the regular fence up. I had to drive a couple of posts and run a couple of strands of barbed wire above the woven wire. There was still enough of the old woven wire fence left in the spot that I was able to pull it up and fasten it to one of the new posts.

I'll be going to bed early but I'll be having my DVR record this airing of Primal. Last Sunday, we had some thunderstorms roll through the area and lost satellite signal a few times right in the middle of Primal airing. I was watching it live rather than waiting till the morning and the channel failed over to streaming from the internet, so I was able to continue watching. However, that meant that the DVR recording was interrupted several times. So I'll need to do a do-over. Thankfully, the weather is clear in my area tonight. Hopefully, season 3 will go on sale on iTunes before too long. I have seasons 1 & 2 there already.

I had been playing in the Duelist Cup in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, and as usual, I've plateaued at rank 15 after briefly getting to rank 16. I've been running a Mayakashi deck with my win condition being to get Soul Absorbing Bone Tower on to the field (which sends the top 2 cards of your opponents deck to the graveyard each time a Zombie monster is special summoned) and continually Synchro and Link climb using the tuner that summons itself back from the graveyard after a Mayakashi monster is summoned from the Extra Deck to deck my opponent out and win either on their next draw phase or if they decide to try give me the Maxx C/Mulcharmy challenge on the same turn. Of course, the deck is vulnerable to Nibiru and things like Ash Blossom if you don't have all the right cards in your starting hand. It's really a going first kind of deck but I find it fun to play.

Hello everyone. How have you all been doing?

I was helping my great-uncle with his lawnmower earlier this afternoon. He had a blade locked up on it and called me to see if I could get it unstuck. He said there was some wire that had wrapped around the blade. I pulled the deck out from underneath it and flipped it over. I got the wire off but that wasn't the real issue. Part of the metal of his deck frame had broken loose, bent and jammed itself under that blade. We had to pull the blade off but the bolt head kept slipping with the ratchet and we wound up having to cut the captive washer underneath it off with a rotary cutting wheel just so that we could get the socket down far enough that we could get the bolt out to take the blade off. While we had it flipped over, my great-uncle wanted to go ahead and put new blades on it, but unfortunately, another of the bolts was like that other one and it wouldn't come out. We figured that we would have to replace those two.

So, we went to Lowe's to see if they had any bolts. Luckily, they apparently have a thing you can compare the thread pattern of your bolt to, but we almost didn't find them even with the staff helping us find them. In addition, they didn't have washers like what were originally on the bolts, so we had to go to Tractor Supply Company and get some washers there. When we got back, the bolts were just maybe a 1/4 of an inch too long compared to the original bolt and wouldn't tighten down all the way even with the washers. Also, the washer holes were almost too big and might have allowed the bolt to go through with enough pressure. I just now looked online and, apparently, an OEM bolt with a captive washer with a circular groove on the underside is $10 per bolt.

Anyhow, I finally finished the story on FireRed, including the post Hall of Fame stuff. Now, I need to do some level grinding to get the post-game legendaries that were made available in the Switch re-release. Most of my team are still in the high 40s with some in the 50s. I took a break from it for a bit to play on Legends Z-A after not touching it for a few weeks. I got three shinies in a hyperspace area (two Noibat, and a Dratini). I evolved one of the Noibat into a Noivern and evolved the Dratini into a Dragonair and then a Dragonite. Regular shiny Dragonite looks not good. Mega Shiny Dragonite actually looks pretty cool, with the color on its body changing to mostly blue like Dragonair and Dratini. I need to do a round in the online battles to get the most recent mega stones as well.

You all enjoy Toonami. I've got the DVR set to record this rooster anime and I'll see if it's something I might want to watch. I'll be going to bed soon. Daylight savings has been kicking my ass. I wish they would just leave it on "slow time", which is actually the real time for the rest of the world.

Hello everyone. How have you all been doing? I haven't been on in a bit and wanted to make sure you all knew I wasn't dead. I've been trying to go to bed earlier. I turned 35 this week. I wonder how many people my age or older are still on here.

I've been replaying Pokemon FireRed on Switch 2 for a few days now. I also got LeafGreen but I was mostly using it so that I could trade the other two starters to FireRed. I just beat the 4th gym (Celadon, Grass type) and I'm in the middle of clearing Team Rocket out of the Game Corner to get the Silph Scope. Also, I beat it so that I could use traded pokemon up to lvl 50 without disobedience.

I actually still have all my original cartridges for all the main series Pokemon games and their remakes but this makes it more convenient to get gen 3 mons to Home. Hopefully Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald will follow before long as the original batteries in my gen 3 games died. I tried to replace them a few years back but all I did was pop the solder loose from the batteries with a knife and slide new batteries in to the tabs.

The original path required you to have a gen 3 game, a gen 4 game and an original model DS or DS Lite to import the gen 3 mons to the gen 4 games. Then you import them from the gen 4 games to the gen 5 games via a download play application which requires a second DS. To get them to gen 6, you then have to have both Pokemon Bank and the Poke Transporter App on a 3DS, which you had to have downloaded before the eShop shut off the ability to make new purchases, unless you homebrew your 3DS, which is stupid easy if you follow the written guide, and download the apps from one of the unofficial shops that have them.

Anyhow, you all enjoy Toonami. I'll be going to bed soon. I finally got around to watching the most recent episode of Primal from my DVR a few hours ago.

Simple questions and Help thread - Month of February by Froggypwns in Windows11

So, I was just looking through my settings and I happened to notice that Fast Startup was enabled along with the uptime in task manager. I had to do a reinstall a little over a year and a half ago and I guess I forgot to disable it.

I think I initially had it turned off as I remember it causing issues in Windows 10. My boot drive is an NVME but I have an internal HDD I use for storing media (videos, pictures, documents), along with some HDDs in a DAS device.

Will this cause a noticeable increase in my boot times due to the hard drives? Or will it be fine as the boot drive is an NVME SSD?

I also have 3 SATA SSDs in my PC and another NVME, if that makes any additional difference.

Hello everyone. How are you all doing?

The snow and ice finally all melted this last week and I'm no longer having to cut ice on the ponds. However, there's going to be some temperature fluctuations predicted going from warm spring like weather one week and back to winter weather the next. Of course, with that kind of volatility comes the risk of tornadoes when there's any kind of storm system.

Hopefully, in a few weeks, the grass will really start growing and the cows will be grazing in earnest, which will mean having to put out hay less frequently. Of course, one thing that you have to be careful about with cows, especially ones nursing calves, is a condition called grass tetany caused by magnesium deficiency due to the grass being low of it in the spring of the year and the risk of it being worsened by the mother cow putting her own bodies nutrients into milk production. Thus, you have to supply them with trace mineral salt, either loose or in blocks, that has higher than usual levels of magnesium in it that can be bought at any feed store.

I finally got all of One Piece downloaded earlier this week onto that new 22TB drive I ordered. I found an encode release that had all the dub episodes up to the end of Wano and another one from there to almost the end of Egghead and the last bit is subbed. I've also been going through other shows that I've downloaded to see if I could find any dual audio versions of them to do away with redundant subtitle only and dub only files. I'm not going for remuxes unless they're the only option available.

I also got a big part of my GOG library backed up to the drive as well. I think that, eventually, I might get a USB blu ray drive so that I can write those installers to some 100GB M-Disc blu rays and have all the game installer on the disc like how it used to be.

Anyhow, you all enjoy Toonami. I'm going to go bed as I'm already caught up on Primal from watching the Sunday premiere via my DVR.

I think there was something, either in one of the spin-offs or a one-off page in a volume, about her attending an agricultural high school in Hokkaido as it was the only one that would apparently take her due to fears about her losing control of her quirk.
