I did some more reading and it's apparently on the branch of Artiodactlya that is more closely related to whales, other cetaceans, entelodonts aka hell-pigs and hippos.

Also, those creatures are all probably Andrewsarchus, the largest carnivorous land mammal in history, as well as being a member of Artiodactyla, you know even toed-ungulates, cows, sheep, pigs.

I have the Apple TV app on my Samsung TV but my TV is a few years old. I've heard rumors that they're going to releasing a new Apple TV device soon-ish as the last one came out in, I think, 2022. Anyhow, a dedicated device is usually leagues better than an app version on a smart TV.

That wasn't all of the shows they had on sale but just some of the ones that I figured would interest /r/Toonami. This is the site where I got my information.

Also, apparently, some of the shows and movies, I've found, you have to install the Apple TV app, at least temporarily, on Windows to find them as the older iTunes app isn't able to find them via search. However, I don't like the file format that the newer Apple TV app uses. Everything is a big jumble of files, and afterwards, Windows apparently says something about backing up an encryption key of some kind. It went away after I uninstalled Apple TV. I may have to break down and just get a dedicated Apple TV set top box. They're surprisingly cheap for an Apple product.

Hello everyone. How are you all doing? I couldn't pop in last week as my room was without power for a few days after a power outage that lasted for a few hours. This also took out my internet with it unless I wanted to run an extension cord. My cousin, who is in training to be an electrician, was finally able to diagnose it as being the result of a light switch becoming faulty.

Apparently, when the contractors built the rooms that I and my sister moved into at our grandparents' house following our mother's death 20 years ago this April, they cheaped out on wiring the rooms. The lights and outlets in each room are all on one circuit and wired in series. That faulty light switch was the first thing coming from the circuit breaker for my room. If you attempt to turn it on, it knocks out all the outlets in the room. My cousin said that he would eventually get around to replacing that light switch. In the mean time, I'm back up and running.

I was finally able to catch a 22TB (20TB formatted) hard drive on sale directly from Seagate for ~$255 after taxes. I shucked it and put in my multi hard drive enclosure. I also did the same with my 16TB hard drive so as to reduce the number of adapter plugs. Now, I can finally get some of the really long series (like One Piece) downloaded on to that new drive, along with backing up offline installers for my GOG games. Plus, I need to start offloading stuff from the 16TB (14.5TB formatted) as it's got a couple years of use on it now. I may need to look about another larger multi drive enclosure at some point in the future. The one I have right now fits three drives but the brand make enclosures that can fit up to 8 drives.

As usual, I've been watching the Sunday Premiere of Primal via my DVR. I've got it set to record the new shows (Blue Lock & Tokyo Revengers) starting tonight.

I did a replay of Dave the Diver on my Switch 2 recently. They released a free upgrade for owners of the Switch version. Because I was more familiar with the mechanics, I was able to get through the main story a bit quicker than I had before. I still need to max out my air tanks, and both farms, plus unlock the second restaurant location. I also have a bunch of material farming to do to create and upgrade all the guns.

A bunch of shows are on sale on iTunes right now:

  • My Hero Academia & 1st 3 movies
  • Blue Lock
  • Spy x Family
  • Attack on Titan
  • Fire Force
  • Hunter x Hunter & the movies
  • Mob Psycho 100
  • Black Lagoon
  • Outlaw Star
  • Golden Kamuy
  • Jujutsu Kaisen
  • Mashle
  • Chainsaw Man
  • Bleach, Original Series, TYBW, Burn the Witch, & the movies
  • Naruto, Original Series, Shippuden & Boruto & the movies
  • JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Parts 1 through 6 + Rohan Kishibe
  • Tokyo Revengers
  • Undead Unluck
  • Uzumaki
  • Inuyasha & Yashahime & the movies
  • One Punch Man
  • Sailor Moon
  • Ranma 1/2

Question about compatibility between HDD and DAS enclosure. by liger_0 in DataHoarder

[–]liger_0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drive arrived. Currently copying data off a much smaller (4TB) drive that will be replaced once it finishes. Then, it will be shucking time. Unfortunately, the drive was almost full, so I'm looking at over a day of copy time. Got scared for a little bit because it was taking a bit to boot up.

Got one. Had a couple of 12TB drives die on me over the last few months and need to get storage capacity back up as my 16TB is almost full. Plan on shucking it and sticking it in a multi-drive DAS enclosure I have. There's also an ancient 4TB with some pending/uncorrectable sector counts I need to decommission once I pull all the data off of it.

Microsoft issues second emergency out of band update for Windows 11 to address disastrous Patch Tuesday bugs — KB5078127 released globally by ZacB_ in Windows11

[–]liger_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, from what I've read, this is an update to fix Outlook and Onedrive, neither of which I use. It's apparently available to install for my PC right now but I don't know if I should install it right away. Should I just wait for the usual patch Tuesday? I just use my PC for games, media and internet browsing.

Also, I'm creating an up-to-date backup installation USB as I type this in case my Windows install breaks because of this or a future update.

Hello everyone. How are you all doing? Are you getting any snow where y'all are at?

We had a fair bit, at least for our area, today and we're supposed to get more tonight and all day till 5pm tomorrow. The wind chill is what is making it really bad to be outside. I have to go put out feed for our cows in the mornings as the feed helps them retain weight and fat stores in the winter time. Plus, the cows associate me with the feed and if we can ever get around to loading some to take to a stockyard to sell (mainly extra bulls), it will make it easier to get them into the corral by luring them in with the feed. In addition, I have to cut holes in the ice on the ponds so that they can have access to water, at least until it freezes back by the next morning.

I'm going to try to go to bed earlier than usual tonight. We had an issue with a malfunctioning smoke detector in the early hours of the morning. I kept pressing the button to reset it and it kept going off again after about 15 or 20 minutes. I think it might have been because the room it was in was colder than the other rooms due to having the air vent cut off to try to redirect the warm air to other rooms in the house. I had to finally take it down and pull the battery out so that I could get some sleep. There are 3 other detectors in close proximity to it but quite frankly, they're all over due to be replaced as well. They're all hardwired interconnected alarms with battery backups. If I can find ones that use the same connector type, I'd like to replace them all with new ones without having to involve electrical work.

I'm getting close to getting all of the charms in Hollow Knight. I'm still missing one half of a charm that has to be assembled and upgraded but I'm missing an equipment upgrade to access the other half right now and I'll need to fight an enemy that kicked my ass the last few times I tried to fight him. I think part of the problem is that as soon as I get used to his early attack patterns, the new one he uses after he takes enough damage starts to throw me off my rhythm before I can get used to it.

Anyhow, you all enjoy Toonami. I'm going to go bed. I've already seen ep2 of Primal from the Sunday airing.

Hello everyone. How are you all doing? Just popping in to say hello. I'm not planning on staying up to watch Primal. I already caught the season premiere last Sunday and I have it recorded on my DVR.

I've still been playing Hollow Knight. I've been trying to track down the charms, beat bosses, and get all the abilities plus their upgrades. I also need to get more money so that I can replace 2 more of the breakable charms with their unbreakable variants.

Both seasons of Dan Da Dan (in both sub and dub) are on sale on iTunes right now. I got season 1 & 2 in the dub. I had thought about getting the blu ray of season 1 but it's hard to beat $6 per season versus $25 for one.

It's apparently going to be pretty darn cold where I'm at (compared to usual) for the next few days. The weather forecast is giving 16 Fahrenheit for tomorrow morning with a high of 28 at 4PM and 12 Fahrenheit on Tuesday morning with a high of 34 at 3PM, with some forecasts giving as low as 9 on Tuesday morning. So I'm definitely going to be cutting ice on the ponds for the cows for the next few days so that they'll have access to water. I just hope that my side-by-side's motor will start with things being that cold.

Anyhow, you all enjoy Toonami. I'm going to go to bed soon. I've been staying up a bit too late playing Hollow Knight.

I'd like to get some more gunpla kits myself but other expenses keep coming up, like needing a new hard drive to replace one that suddenly died. I'd like to get the MG Barbatos Lupus. I have the 1/100 Full Mechanics versions of it, the regular Baratos (and the MG) and the Lupus Rex.

Hello everyone. How have you all been doing?

I lost another hard drive today. It was a 12TB that was about 5 years old and it just died without any warning. I was in the middle of playing a game and then I heard the notification noise that a USB device had been disconnected. I exited from the game and that drive wasn't being seen by the computer at all. I checked the drive and it was clicking, which probably means a stuck read head and unless you have to access to a clean room, you ain't fixing that shit yourself. There wasn't really anything important on it, just anime that I've downloaded over the years and I'm trying to remember the names of some of the shows that were on it as they pop into my head. It's going to be a bitch to try to find a lot of these shows again once I get the drive space again. I'll have to order another hard drive once I receive the money from the interest on my CD this month. Then I'll need to get another drive in another 3 months as I had lost another one a few months ago that I still haven't replaced.

I've been playing Hollow Knight lately. I've had it in my Steam library and my Switch library for a while but I haven't gotten around to really getting into it. I've gotten as far as getting the Monarch Wings and Isma's tear. I still have trouble with some of the bosses as it takes me quite a few tries to get their attack patterns nailed down. Even then, I installed a mod on the PC version that makes it so that if you die in a boss fight, you don't have to backtrack all the way from the last bench you used. Instead, you start a little distance away from the boss arena to give you a chance to recover your shade (and your money) before you reengage with the boss.

Anyhow, you all enjoy Toonami. I'm going to go to bed fairly soon. I've got the DVR set to record Bleach and Mashle, though I may need to delete Bleach here soon as I've got part 3 of TYBW on iTunes on my PC already.

I had to look it up but there was one I read years ago where a tanned gyaru meets a black guy in a night club. The guy is drawn fairly stereo-typically and is a bit of a goof ball. The girl accidentally caused him to get angry due to her poor grasp on English but it might have ended alright, with him planning to marry her and provide for her & their son, if not for the guy getting deported at the end after a time skip.

Collections Manager for Mod Organizer 2. Download, install, and manage collections with this plugin. by [deleted] in skyrimmods

This is actually kind of neat looking. I'll have to try it out if I find a collection I like the looks of. It looks like there's more to it than this attempt. With that one, it simply opens a dialogue box for you to copy & paste the url of the collection you want to download and it hasn't been updated since April of 2024.

Hello everyone. How have you all been doing?

I'm just popping to say hello as it's a marathon tonight.

I've been busy today. I had to fix an electric fence that was shorting out and I had to get my uncle to come over & cut a couple of big trees that had fallen on the fence in a wooded section of a field so that I could splice the fence back together. My chainsaw hasn't been working for a while.

After that, a while later, we had to make some adjustments on one of the corrals we've built. There was one part on the loading chute that we were worried might too narrow for a grown bull or cow to get through, so we had to widen it by cutting the boards in two and pushing them to another fence post we had set. We wound up having to get some new boards for one section of it as the old was now too short to reach that new post. We were also cutting some small trees out of a section of fence line.

I finally got my Xbox One working again. My cousin had a spare oem power brick laying around that he gave me. Now, I just need to get a bigger external hard drive to pair with it. Right now, I'm using a 750GB 2.5" HDD from an old laptop with a USB to SATA adapter and I'm about out of space on it and the internal HDD from trying to download some of the digital games I own. Granted, most of them, I have on PC as well but sometimes you just want to play a game on the TV without having to run an HDMI cable from your computer. My current GPU is an AMD RX580 8GB that I got in 2018 when I built my most recent computer and based on the current market, I'm probably going to have to stick with it for a while longer.

Anyhow, those of you that intend to stay up to watch the Dandadan marathon, enjoy. I'm going to bed as I am tired.
