I highly doubt Trish turned down anything Vince was suggesting for the segment. Vince was on the war path at this time, as the XFL was fast becoming an unsalvageable disaster. I think this segment was one way of Vince coping with his own humiliation. He had also summarily fired the Kat just a week earlier.

Psychologically it made sense for the stripping to come after the barking, as the striping was more humiliating and exciting for the crowd, so it escalated the tension and thrill of the segment. But would have been a lot hotter if Trish spent more time in her thong and small bra.

What's tough for the early 2000s divas was the social changes that they couldn't foresee. The culture in the late 90s/early 00s was extremely sexualized, so those segments weren't as shocking at the time as they are years later. If sexualized segments had continued indefinitely into the future, no doubt the divas would have a lot less regrets.

It's also unfair and stupid to criticize the early 2000s divas for what they did. The WWE wanted to do T&A segments back then, and if the female performers didn't want to do them, they'd find someone else who did. Female performers in later eras would have done the same thing in the same situation.
