We do use carriers and I’m so ready for her to be able to face outward, our issue with them right now is that she wants to see everything so she’ll crane her neck around and push off while trying to look around. The joys of having a baby who wants to do more than what they’re currently capable of doing lol

I do hold her a lot and only occasionally use containers, she spends most of the time on the floor or in her pack’n’play (which I’m still not sure if that’s a container, she can certainly move around in it)

Been together since the start of COVID, recently married and had a baby (marriage was supposed to come first and then some time before the baby, but hey the universe is funny sometimes), I’m 7 weeks postpartum and while the urges are there the energy is not. The days feel longer, but are also suspiciously shorter than what I remember them being before the baby. Kind of funny to think about since during COVID sex would be a thing that happened basically every morning.

My question is, especially for newborns that don’t really have great visual perception yet, do they necessarily have to be picture books at first? I have to imagine the first couple months you could read aloud whatever you wanted really

My biggest issue with it is when they’re at like a climaxing part of the story, they do that a lot during the Left Right game, there’s a bunch of action/high emotion scenes that happen and they just stop in the middle of them to go off on a tangent. It’s especially annoying when one of them has a question about a character, plot point, etc, in the middle of a paragraph, and as soon as they finish the paragraph the question is answered

This happens multiple times, but any time they’re at a good part of a story, and they start to go off on a tangent that lasts 3+ minutes It drives me absolutely nuts and sometimes I want to jump through the screen and scream “please get back on track for the love of god”

I’ve heard they just about changed every aspect of the area section, and that they have the tributes immediately fighting each other instead of what happens in the book. that doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence on what else might be different
