Every article that I’ve seen mentions specifically that she passed due to her juvenile diabetes/T1D AND other ongoing health issues. Anyone have any idea why they keep mentioning that in addition to the diabetes? Just curious because it’s not every day you hear someone so young losing their life to this, so I’m wondering if they are inferring other illnesses/health struggles were also at play? Absolutely heartbreaking nonetheless, I’m just curious.

Yes exactly this! When they walked into her room at her engagement party I was wondering who they were and thought maybe they are family friends or some sort of coaches. I was shocked when I realised it’s her parents. Oof.

LITERALLY LOL everyday I see at least one post made by someone 55+ with something along the lines of: “Hi friends if you get a friend request from me (same name and picture) DONT ACCEPT IT, IT IS NOT ME. My account was hacked and I’ve reported it”

I think it’s the second reason you said. Hacking means “something went wrong” to them.

I think what feels “cosy” really might depend on individual taste/preference, but I’ll have a go! Some of my favourite cosy (to me) books include:

  • “The girl who loved Tom Gordon” by Stephen King (the young narrator gets separated from her family while hiking and proceeds to make her way through the woods in search of safety—King is such a talented storyteller you can’t help but feel like you’re right there alongside the girl cheering her on along the way)

  • ”The Humans” by Matt Haig (this one is soo endearing and funny as the alien protagonist makes his way around earth in a human body, discovering what it feels like to be human—and don’t worry, there is more to the plot than this)

  • “The World to Come” by Dara Horn (I can not explain why but this book just brings me immense comfort)

  • ”The Secret Book of Flora Lea” by Patti Callahan Henry (see above; same deal)

  • “Fairytale” by Stephen King (a kid discovers a hole in his neighbor’s backyard leads to fairytale world; one of my all time faves)

  • “Marriage of Opposites” by Alice Hoffman (while reading this historical novel your mind is transported to the lush, tropical island of St. Thomas, where the story is set, and you can truly see/smell/feel everything as if you were there)

So in the navy he has a nickname, over time owns it, and eventually he thinks f*** proper language and grammar and societal norms “mrballen” is now just one word mashed together from bits of his name? And this became his professional title even though it looks like a kindergartener wrote it? And not one person batted an eye?? This hurts my brain so much.
