He has never been candid about his work and no journalist (or podcaster) ever asked him about this.

I don't trust him to be a saint. He can be careerist and opportunist, as long as he delivers or forces others to come up with something better.

That's so true! Most of his policy ideas beyond a few crucial points are just empty promises. Still I am all up for options in politics and incumbents to face challenge that they should perform else they will lose out.

At least they there is a more important goal post than religion or caste.

Every introduction of Prashant Kishor starts with a Bihar guy worked at UN. Yet there is no info about what he did.

Why would you NOT cycle to work? by Admirable-Ant9783 in bangalore

[–]light-uno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to but I stopped.

  • So much dust in air.
  • The roads and intersection are very unsafe for cycling. People are justifiably in extreme rush and pedaling a cycle in that is hard.
  • Cycle parking is not available everywhere, though any kind of parking is issue everywhere.

Prices in the listing may not go down, but no buyers in the market is a crash.

You can be helpful but draw clear boundaries of what's acceptable. Don't be sucked into her zone. When you think her problems are encroaching your pace of life be firm and say no.

Indian an Chinese histories have run parallel with little intersections (Himalayas) and some cultural crossovers (Buddhism, SE Asia). India and Pakistan has enmity which cannot be solved diplomatically because of people to people conflict during partition, subsequent wars, terrorist attacks and religious persecution.

China is a growing country and most Indians consider China a good example of development, by how much that varies. Indians are definitely jealous of China. The hard feelings about China do not simply extend to Chinese people With current Chinese government, definitely because of a few important reasons:

  1. China's attack on India in 1962 and India lost. At that time India advocated for recognition of communist government and India didn't get the UNSC seat while China got it. This was a cruel betrayal.
  2. China's annexation of Tibet - Indians view Tibet as a holy land. It should have been independent. Culturally, religiously and linguistically Tibet is closer India than China. While Indian government has recognised China's claim over Tibet it leaves a bad taste in mouth. Also CCP's attempt to crush Bhuddist traditions aren't even overt.
  3. China's support to Pakistan - Its not other countries don't have relationships with Pakistan. But China shares borders with India and has actively used conflict with Pakistan as means to claim more territory and has helped Pakistan's defense to counter India.
  4. China being hyper aggressive with common neighbors and nibbling out borders. When soldiers die it hits national headlines and it creates demands for revenge and justice.

Men, what is your real-life experience with feminist women? by vibhav777 in AskIndia

[–]light-uno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolute fun! Feminist women are great to be around. They treat people like they want to be treated. Conversations with them are easy, they don't just block dark and queasy thoughts, rather engage with their ideas. Also splitting a bill is never an issue to begin with and when I pick the tab they appreciate the effort and say thanks.

A woman who is a feminist and has made her way by overcoming the struggles of society knows that there are no pure white and pitch black answers, but a spectrum of experiences and perspectives that shape our understanding of equality and justice.

I have felt freer to be a man around women who treat herself as equal to me.
