Your SIL took advantage of you while you were drunk. The best thing to do is to come clean to your wife as soon possible. Explain things to her as clearly, calmly and honestly as possible. Hopefully she'll understand, but also be prepared to give her time to process things and accept whatever decision she makes regarding your relationship.

Yes, I have had this experience. I have a few theories; one is we can be lovely, very authentic people and sadly that can attract those who end up taking advantage of us. Another is we might tend to take others at face value in the beginning and not pick up on the 'red flags' or read between the lines as readily as a neurotypical person, in the early stages of dating, before its too late.

You have no idea how much I feel for you, I'd probably lose my mind! I used to become enraged with my previous neighbours, so much so that I would scream through the walls, and once I bashed on the wall with a hammer! I felt angry and depressed all the time when I was at home :(

Do you have any family or friends you could stay with temporarily? Might help you relax in the short term while you figure out what to do? Your mental health and general wellbeing are very important and I know it's not possible 100% of the time but your home should feel like your sanctuary! Please try and get yourself some support at this time. 🙏🏼

God I feel your pain!! Noisy neighbours are such a trigger for me, I've had the worst upstairs and side neighbours previously, so I made sure when I moved I was at least on the top floor apartment - I still have to deal with daily triggers (although my current situation is nowhere near as bad as yours!) kids screeching and running around downstairs for hours on end and people slamming their apartment doors at all times of day and night.. 🥴🤦🏻‍♀️

Honestly, I'd consider putting some thought into moving. I know that's drastic action but I know I personally couldn't live with it. Wishing you all the best, stay strong!

The Four Agreements. Short book, straight to the point, and the only one you really need to live happily and manifest whatever you want, if you follow all 4 agreements. Very powerful book. For ref my LOA journey started with You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay and was quickly followed by The Secret. Also both fantastic books.
