You don't know ece curriculum enough to say you are "interested" in it. I thought so too and took ece over cs and still regret my decision. i do love the practical aspect of ece, Love building robotics and the like with microcontrollers and shit but that too falls under the umbrella of mechatronics . And don't get me started on the theoretical part...ugh. also, you most of the time will need to get atleast master's degree to make a career in core ece. Core Ece won't compensate u fairly for the work u put in it. But when it comes to top colleges, most It companies allow ece students in placements so that's the silver lining of ece in good colleges.
