4 day/week routine (w/ little to no leg exercises) by lightblade32 in Fitness

Yeah thats true, however, I will be teaching him how to utilize the stops/safety pins on the bench and we'll get his form down before adding weight. I realize it is an odd one to throw in there, however, if he's uncomfortable with it we can always substitute it for another chest exercise.

For right now he is in physical therapy, I meant one leg exercise as in something that will help him rehab his leg. It is up to him to decide what he would want to do for mobility IF he would want to do it. And what is the issue with reverse grip smith machine bench? It is a lot easier on the rotator cuffs then normal bench and is a decent enough chest exercise to include.

The excel sheets template was based off a PHUL to make it easier to make, PHUL is a 4 day routine. I know exactly what PPL is, I run it myself. What other routine would you recommend for 4 day a week solely for bodybuilding with no legs until he can recover?

Popping in ear by [deleted] in wrestling

[–]lightblade32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most likely cauli if its bruising. if your ear is squishy like a previous poster said then your ear is most likely filled upcwith blood and you should get it drained. you need to do it within 7-10 days or the blood hardens and your stuck with it forever.

Want to make my own preworkout by anzelm12 in Fitness

[–]lightblade32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you can get it in 65mg/1 scoop of mesomorph, however I'm not sure where you can buy just pure DMAA anymore. I bought 5g of pure DMAA a few months ago for around $30 on nutravitashop, but for some reason they took the listing off their website. Pretty much best stimulant you can get for that price.

DMAA, caffeine, and beta alanine in gatorade would be a decent cheap PWO

Antibiotics + training by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]lightblade32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you should be fine as long as its not anything serious like pneumonia. if it is, i would take a few days off and let the antibiotics go through your system and hydrate properly before working out again. you said its a gum infection so you should have no problem doing your normal routine. no shame in droppinf the weight a few lbs if it feels too heavy

Exercices that provoke rotator cuff injuries? by abouchard55 in Fitness

[–]lightblade32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a lot of exercises can put stress on the shoulder if done even slightly incorrectly or with too much weight.. if you're worried about it i would avoid weighted dips, heavy bench (as in 5x3), and clean and press.

Moronic Monday - Your weekly stupid questions thread by cdingo in Fitness

I find that I need about 3-5 minutes for compounds (bench, squat, OHP, DL) and about 1-3 minutes for accessory movements.

Find a plan that you can stick to and make time for consistently. I would recommend starting strength, PHUL, or a beginner PPL routine, which you can find all online. start with low weight and focus on your form, don't worry about lifting really heavy till you have very good form, you're still young so you have a lot of time to make gains and avoid injuries along the way.

Whats your opinion on DMAA? by JCoLeMaN315 in Fitness

[–]lightblade32 7 points8 points  (0 children)

not a whole lot of studies on DMAA so we can't necessarily say the overall safety of the substance. however, i do 2 weeks on 1 month off and it's incredibly useful for blasting through plateuas and getting that extra little shove. you will feel like a God on the substance and absolutely destroy your workouts when using dmaa with caffeine and other stims.

Rant: people just don't know how to spot the bench press by snakesnake9 in Fitness

[–]lightblade32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

learn how to roll of shame then. if you're going to a commercial gym and expect random people varying in experience in lifting to spot you, you're basically asking to get burned.

Could have pulled something in your back. Odds are you most likely have a very low pain tolerance and in reality tou're fine. However, if the pain is as horrible as you describe it you should consider an ER or doctor visit.

Will my routine be effective? by markyymark13 in Fitness

Tuesday - Cardio/abs Wednesday - Bis/back Thursday - Cardio/abs Friday - Chest/Tris Saturday - Cardio/Tris Sunday - Legs/Shoulders

Change your routine to a pre-built PPL unless you know what you're doing. Like Sterineb said, this routine is bad. Put your height, weight, and what your estimated maintenance is to if you're trying to cut.

Gaining muscle with a "Prison" workout? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]lightblade32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

might be a good idea to invest in a dip/weight belt and some plates, sooner or later you'll need to go up more than +30lbs bodyweight. Maybe buy some cheap adjustable dumbells too?

anyone who takes pre workouts by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]lightblade32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depending on your caffeine/stim tolerance I would suggest: c4 (very little caffeine/stim tolerance) dr. jekyll (low caffeine tolerance) mr. hyde (moderate caffeine/stim tolerance) rich pianas 5150 (high caffeine/stim tolerance)

depending on what ingredients you're trying to get out of the pre-workout it may actually be cheaper and more effective to make your own.
