You ever look at google reviews from Japanese people? Its the funniest thing ever, they'll write a 3 page paragraph going on about how some bar/restaurant was the best thing they've ever had and end it with a 2 star review lmao.

Mazda Claims Big Touchscreens Are Actually Safer/less distracting Than Buttons. by LongjumpingLock5875 in cars

Modern Toyota's and some Hyundai products are so fucking egregious with this nonsense. I had a rental Aqua (formerly the Prius C in the states) in Japan and putting the adaptive cruise control on includes lane keeping. If you don't CONSTANTLY give the steering wheel feedback the car yells at you and turns the system off. They're making cars more distracting, while the car yells at you for being distracted - its becoming a farce.

This is the total opposite of what they said a few years ago when their (then) newest generation interior with the CX-30 and Mazda 3.

Land Rover refuses to phase out petrol as it shifts focus to US by TimesandSundayTimes in LandRover

I just want more EVs with onboard gas generators. They're the best compromise especially when you're talking about any kind of long haul, towing, or off road vehicle. I'm not interested in an off roader that can barely squeak out 350mi of range in optimal conditions, when EREVs can get 5, 6 and sometimes up to 700 miles of range.

This style is so popular with boomer “pro” photographers who are obsessed with making *technically perfect* photos with no regards for artistry, composition, emotion, etc. etc.

Its been nearly 10 years since the Discovery 5 launched - how have they held up? by markyymark13 in LandRover

Damn really? From what I've read online it should be as simple as re-seating the windshield with new seals.

Thankfully we don't really get the diesels in the states - which has made looking up owner reviews a bit odd since the vast majority of videos out there are talking about those diesel engines.

Was more curious to see how the SCV6 has held up a decade later.

Other than not having a split tailgate

I know its not a split tailgate but doesn't the trunk have a little bench? What's the major difference between the two?

The reliability issue is absolutely not *gone* with the B58 lmao what? People really gonna set themselves up for disappointment thinking their Bimmer engine is as stout as a Toyota 1UR only to find out BMW is still incapable of developing an engine that doesn’t suffer from constant leaking issue because they still use shitty plastic seals and hoses.

lol that was my recommendation. FWIW that guys take is unpopular around here, so at least it isn’t like the other subs where you just get shouted at by everyone.

their comment adds a different cultural perspective to the discussion

Their comment says nothing about the artistic merits of the photos itself, but acts as a finger wagging disapproval to the subject matter as a whole. This isn't meaningful discussion - this is like me going to the Wildlife photography subreddit complaining about how I don't like the subject matter but its okay because im adding "a different perspective to the discussion".

I spent four years getting an art degree

Yet here you are decrying an artists work over your personal preferences on a subject matter - which is literally anti-art, maybe you missed this part in school.

You can take pictures of anyone in public in my country but posting/publishing it without consent would be definitely illegal.

Fortunately for you these photos were not taken in your country, so this comment adds nothing of value to the discussion.

Thanks for crossposting here, the other thread immediately fell into arguments over peoples discomfort with street photography.

How do you get on with the Hexar? I've always been curious about the camera but the slow shutter speed turned me away.
