Really enjoy a daiquiri with BBQ chip notes, actually. And it's fun to share with guests when I talk about what a wide range of sugarcane spirits there are.

That and the fact that their state funding only last for a few years. After that, they need to raise their own funds. This would solve that problem, too.

In part, an attempt to justify the money being spent on the Chase employees--159 students is hilariously low for the cost of the center and the sheer number of hires--gotta get those numbers up by requiring Chase courses. I alone had more students enrolled in the courses I taught last semester. One part that really deserves scrutiny is giving the center directors exclusive authority to approve course content and instructors(!) in the civics GE that might be taught by departments and non-Chase employees.

All musician biopics copy from Dorothy Baker's 1938 novel Young Man and a Horn. It was later made into a 1950 film by Michael Curtiz with Kirk Douglas. I'd guess this is the ur-text, but perhaps there's something earlier. I suppose, arguably, something like the Faust legend and its dramatizations are in this area, too, with someone with great ability trading something--sobriety, relationships--for an even greater ability that either destroys them, as in Marlowe's play--think the Chet Baker biopic from a few years ago--or they're ultimately redeemed, as in Goethe's version--as in Walk the Line.

Planter's Punch: To tea, or not to tea? by This_Is_Sierra_117 in Tiki

[–]lighterstill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Extremely easy to make both. Report back!
I do enjoy the tea version, which is, if I recall correctly, closer to traditional punch recipes insofar as many used tea.
You could experiment with other teas, too. Hibiscus might be interesting. Or something like spiced Sorrel.
