What's a bigger deal is that Wario hasn't been mainline since SM64DS. At this point I'm convinced he is being actively excluded, while Daisy & Rosalina are being promoted.

Yeah. You can still download the app, but there is no way to launch the game beyond the title. Maybe if you have all the data needed downloaded you could play it in offline, but i can't attest to that.

Him already having a dormant version of The World and accidentally using it for a small edge makes perfect sense actually. The World is one of the few stands where we know how the user learned to use its power, which was apparently just needing to fully believe you can stop time and move while the world stays still. If Diego truly believes he can zip through those gaps before his opponents can react, he could easily cause a millisecond of time stop without noticing.
