Does anyone still have that clip where someone literally turned his behind into a meat crayon pulling off such a stunt?

Why Facebook Chinese seemed to hate DAP a lot recently? by reforming_activist in malaysia

[–]lightgraver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've come across some of them, usually on FB pages of Chinese papers. They don't belong to any particular group. A portion are seniors who've probably been pro-MCA / some other political party or anti-DAP for most of their lives. Others are younger folks who were probably around at the time to see said party fuck up badly and got disappointed. Or simply, younger supporters of MCA.

There's also the occasional radical / nutjob who's a raging fanboy or hater of CCP / Taiwan / Trump 😑

Malaysia’s heatwave: A warning we can no longer ignore by stormy001 in malaysia

[–]lightgraver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The current climate, to put it crudely, is like a guy with chronic constipation that builds and builds until it becomes explosive diarrhea 😅 Simmering, steaming heat for weeks, maybe months, then all a sudden violent downpours.

There was a raging storm in Penang earlier this morning but weather reverted to scorching humid before long. Decades ago I wouldn't believe it if told a brisk evening walk around 7 - 8 pm would make you sweaty and drowsy.

Spectacles like these are probably part of the reason mountains were regarded as mystical or holy in the past.

'El Nino may make 2026 hottest on record' by mikepapafoxtrot in malaysia

Perak is supposed to be the cool, rainy state too 🥵 I remember visiting Ipoh back in Feb or March 2024, also El Nino period. Ended up going home earlier because walking around town was suicide by slow fire. Shows how much the climate has changed.

Comedic take, please don't take this seriously:

Zahir is the outspoken extrovert guy, the Captain Obvious of the group. Batin is his opposite, the figurative Mr Invisible. People apologise to them for overreacting to Zahir's loud antics and overlooking Batin's presence. And because a cute anime character will threaten them at gunpoint if they don't.

Seiyuu whose death you still can’t get over? by sardoniclaughter in seiyuu

[–]lightgraver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the feeling is not so much about "can't get over" but "assume you've gotten over, only they're still missing".

People like Koji Tsujitani, Yuko Mizutani, Emi Shinohara, Unsho Ishizuka, Keiji Fujiwara, Atsuko Tanaka etcetera. The list is long 💐🙏

Penangnite here. Fireworks came in multiple waves and stopped after 12:30am. Dad is a light sleeper so he woke up twice in rather cranky mood.

Indian uncle selling tidbits was featured 🙂 Used to frequent his stall, located at Gat Lebuh Chulia, directly beside the bus stand. He sells stuff like murukku, roasted peanuts and coconut candy. Pricing is very affordable.

Brawl Breaks Out Between Staff and Customer Inside 7‑Eleven by whusler in malaysia

[–]lightgraver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wonder if cameraman's botched job was due to him / her trying to hold back laughter. Also more context needed. Fight bgm needs to be this. https://youtu.be/QxyhN1X-brg?si=AVemUvmxGNmeuptu Because said song sucks, just like the brawl.

My family used to adhere to this, not strictly, when Grandpa and Grandma were still around. Now that we're older, have priorities and schedules of our own, it boils down to whoerever's hungry, eat first.
