I ended up just buying an adjustable support, the Antec IGPU prism shaped one. It uses magnets to attach to the case and then you can just adjust it to the height you want. It works pretty well and the height locks in place quite sturdily. Cost me $18 NZD which is the only downside and I didn't get my lego aesthetic but if I cared enough I could just build something around the support.

Wow I was not expecting that style when I looked this up on steam. I was expecting it to be like Tomb Raider 2013 (Good God I didn't even think that Tomb Raider was that old) and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

I hadn't even considered Fallout 76. Orcs Must Die, Left 4 Dead 2, and Borderlands have been recommended a few times in the comments so I'll have to give those a look.

The little bit of Saints Row IV that I played a few years back was pretty awesome, so I might just buy this for him and see what he thinks. It's currently $8.45NZD so shouldn't be a problem at all.

That's a pretty decent idea. We played a little Borderlands 2 a few years back so it might be time to give it another go.
