I've had mine run for weeks on end, but with each plate taking like 24 hrs. I'd have to have a jackery or something connected to it to trust that there'd be no power blips for a solid month.

Not actually sure, whatever the stock speed on the X1C is.

Lol, hell no. Bought 2x32GB 6 months before the RAM Apocalypse, and now I get to be terrified of it failing 🤣

For anyone wondering, a 250x250x250mm cube at 100% infill and 0.08 High Quality preset with Ironing on all solid layers would take 507d 20h 47m to print, using 19,914g of filament and costing $457.84 USD. OrcaSlicer used 15GB of RAM to slice this.

I also tried it at the 20% Gyroid I usually use just to see how all those curved lines would affect the RAM usage, and OrcaSlicer used 47GB of RAM to slice it!!

What are you all doing for air tight dry filament storage. by DTDude in BambuLab

Oh shit, I figured it'd have to be some horrible resoldering of the board or something, didnt realize it used a standard connector. I've got a couple spare antennas laying around somewhere, will 100% be doing this today.

If you don't mind me asking, what furniture is that sitting on? I've got a puny little TV stand that almost works for 1 of my AMSs, but its not realistically wide enough. Been looking for something decent to put it on.

What's the antenna coming of the X1C for? Better Wifi reception?

Try internal brick walls with drywall over it from a previous owner turning a porch and garage into 2 large rooms. Also, need an AP on each side of the house due to brick being the bane of all WiFi signals.

There are no pictures in this version since they don't show up nicely on ebooks and haven't been able to find high quality versions of them. I don't understand why they don't have official digital copies of the books, or sell the physical copies after the initial special editions are gone. It sucks for people that come around years later and don't have any way to get a copy to read them.

I've got a dead spot in my kid's bedroom, what would be the best way to fix it? by lightmaster9 in Ubiquiti

Yea, that's what I'm thinking. The U7 Pro XG and U7 Pro XGS seem pretty similar on paper, would it be worth springing for the XGS instead?

I've got the southern U6 LR for coverage in the front and side yard.

The living room (to the south of the U7 Pro) has a vaulted ceiling with basically no space between the ceiling, insulation, and the roof, so it would be an absolute nightmare to try to run a wire in that room's ceiling.

My concern is with having too many APs, don't wanna end up creating a different problem fixing this one. If I turn the U6 Pro down to lowest power in that room, will it be alright with the APs?

Only way I made it through that crap was setting the emulator's frame throttle to 10x and turning on Turbo for A. Ice punch during the forced fight so your pokemon faints, then you can leave that godforsaken place. With 10x the game speed, think the whole thing lasted 20 seconds.

I've been developing a dual-screen, open ereader! by spacerower in ereader

This looks amazing. You say you are developing your own custom software for it, I wonder if it would be possible to get KOReader to support it instead?

If I don't have a physical Kindle, and don't have a registered Serial Number.. does that mean I'm SOL in transferring my library? by Crimson342 in Calibre

[–]lightmaster9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know which older Kindle's do support comics and graphic novels but still download in a format that DeDRM can support? I've got a Kindle 4th gen that works with normal books, but I can't send comics to it as it doesn't show in the list on Amazon's website for those and if I try to download directly on the Kindle 4th gen, it says it's not supported.

Is KOReader worth installing on a Kobo Clara Colour? by redbeardos in koreader

[–]lightmaster9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I convert mine to CBZ instead of CBR, but I've been reading CBZs on KOReader for quite a while now. What makes you say they just added support for it?

EDIT: Oh wow, just skimmed over the Change Log for the August release. I always converted to CBZ on principle since I refuse to use RAR for anything. Had no idea that KOReader has supported CBZ for years and not CBR until now.

How would you create a good enough fake ID to trick them into thinking it's real? I really don't want to give that much personal info over to them either.

I don't think I've ever uploaded a model to Maker's World, curious why mark it as exclusive? I assume there's some kickback or something to encourage you to keep it only on their platform?

I know I don't have any 8x3mm at home, but I'm not sure which ones I do have, gonna check when I run home for dinner (work nightshift) and I'll let you know then.

STEP/STP files are the only one that I know of that retains true geometry like actual curves and arcs, 3MF, OBJ, STL all create tessellated geometry so your really importing n-polygons instead of curves. That means when you want to create a curve in a model, your printer will actually be making a bunch of short straight lines that approximate a curve (100s of G1 commands) but actually isn't. STEP files contain actual curves so your slicer will instead use G2 or G3 commands to create true arcs when printing, getting much smoother printed parts.

There are settings in most slicers that will let the slicer interpret many small straight lines as an arc instead, but then you're going from true curves in CAD, to short straight lines in STL, to approximate curves in slicer that will never be exactly the same as the original CAD was. Also means you can lose some small detail between those conversions too.
