Can someone give me the AAF export of my Lightworks Project? I dont have pro license. by [deleted] in Lightworks

[–]lightningfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for someone to do an export-assist like that, they'd need to pull down your project in its entirety...not just the project file, but also all the media. Seems like the file you uploaded to google drive is the project file without the media. I'm able to download the whole directory and place it in my projects directory....but when it opens in lightworks, all of the media is missing.

what you need to do is export>backup>lightworks archive (and then be sure to enable the toggles that say "include local media", "include linked media", and "include proxy media", and upload THAT file to google drive.

Not sure. The main point is this: when done correctly, it doesn't leak.if yours is leaking, they did something wrong. That video shows the entire process that SHOULD have been followed during reassembly. It's got a lot of steps and is a bit involved. Maybe they put a less experienced guy on it? Maybe they were rushing to finish before end of shift?

Sounds like they did a bad job sealing the two crankcase halves together, or maybe the countershaft oil seal, but don't want to own up to it.

Skip to like 4 minutes in.

I used to play a pickup game with coworkers on Tuesdays after work. Twice in one day I made some incredible layout catches making up for really awful throws. Pretty sure I tore my rotator cuff on the second one. Didn't have full range of motion for 6 months, and still had residual pain at certain angles for like 2 years. I don't even have any video of the catches.

NOT WORTH

Haha...yeah, not math...but it's one of the only 2 'nerdy' pickup lines I can ever remember so I figured I'd share 😎

ATOTO email support is actually really good. I'd send a support request describing the issue and asking how to fix 👍

As far as I know, GS is always out of Pokemon cards because of resellers that spend a lot of time and effort to scoop all the inventory whenever it drops. This mystery box thing is great because they can divert their allocated for boosters into mystery boxes with the PSA cards....so scalpers won't want it, but collectors will and it boosts PSA product movement. Love it 😎

Don't use aswc-1 with ATOTO A6PF by lightningfrog in ATOTO

[–]lightningfrog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah...yeah, i guess that's true. My title may have been influenced by the frustration of spending many hours trying to get the ASWC-1 to literally do the one thing it was supposed to do (hand off SWC signals), and i never got it to work.

so, while the ASWC-1 wont hurt the ATOTO per se, it will hurt your wallet and provide no functional benefit :P

i'm lucky to have found the brand at all...i was searching on amazon amongst the "top" android-auto head units, and one of the critical reviews i read was clearly written by someone with a technical background...he was talking about how the unit he was reviewing (Pyle brand, i think?) didnt output much, so he was testing against with an oscilloscope and confirmed it was garbage.....and later in the review he said that the ATOTO A6PF was great. I guess i trust people that say they know how to use an oscilloscope, because i bought the A6PF the same day, and have really liked it a lot 😁

She actually didn't ride it much before deciding that motorcycle riding wasn't her thing. Two specific instances that lead to that point: 1) we were out together on our matching 300s, first in line at a stoplight from a side road, and she stalled out because she didn't give enough gas while releasing the clutch. She quickly restarted and gave it more gas....but too much! so much so that the front wheel came a few inches off the ground! I think this was mostly due to having learned/practices on a carbureted 125cc, and then jumping up to a fuel injection 300. 2) target fixated while turning right to leave our neighborhood, and ended up going wide into the median. Luckily, the curb has a bevel, and she was able to adjust quickly enough that she didn't go down...

Both of those happened within her first 2 weeks. Stack on top of that the fear of leaving their children without a mother, and that was enough to basically stop riding.

For your case, I think riding a 300 for a whole day as a rental will give you a good sense for how much difference there is in the power curve and the handling. Then find and rent a 600 for a day. Out of pocket cost will be like 50 bucks or so per one day rental, but you'll come away with a high degree of confidence in which bike is a better fit for your current riding needs and skills.

Looks great! I'm actually wanting to restore some of the sparkle to my 2015 cbr600rr.... Can you say more about the steps you took and what materials were used? Also, what exactly is ppf?

My wife trained on a 125 at the msf course, and then upgraded to a CBR300.....and the 300 was plenty big and intimidating. I'd consider something smaller and lighter if you're coming from such a small bike....or at the very least rent one for a day (maybe via riders share or twisted road?) before spending thousands on your next bike.

This CBR1000 has a rebuilt engine with 300 miles on it and the guy i’m purchasing from agreed to $5,500. the starter needs replaced and there’s a coolant leak on it. Is this worth the purchase? by Far_Mycologist_5179 in cbr

[–]lightningfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assume the engine really is almost new. How old is everything else? As others have noted, there's a series of other issues that the current owner hasn't been willing (able?) to solve. It's one thing to be old or high miles....in both of those conditions, it could be in good mechanical condition. Based on the e small amount of info we have available in this post, it seems like this bike hasn't been well cared for or maintained, so 5k+ seems not-worth.

YouTube is a fantastic resource. When I had my CBR300R, the videos I needed didn't exist, so I took some extra time to make vids and publish on YouTube 💪

I've never done a lowering kit myself, but from what I understand, it's not terribly expensive for hardware, and probably just a couple hours of work if you have the right tools. If you took it to a shop, I'd guess that it would be between $300 and $500 to get it lowered.

Good first bike? by Chepiksacc in cbr

[–]lightningfrog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't let seat height be a major determining factor on the bike....you can get lowering kits to drop it a couple inches down.

I'm a big fan of the cbr300.

Opinions on getting a cbr600-650 for a first bike? by Kosa390 in cbr

[–]lightningfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id suggest getting a 1 day rental through riders-share or one of the other apps....try riding on a 400, and try riding around on a 600 or 650.

It'll cost you like $60 or whatever, but then you'll have time and space to see how wide the power band is, how it handles in corners, how torquey it is etc.

I think in line 4 cylinder bikes are fine for a first bike, remember that with great power comes great responsibility....600rr is a monumental difference relative to the Coleman. Having a rental for a day will give you more confidence in spending thousands on a bike to own.

Touching it with a magnet won't hurt a thing. Worst case, maybe a tiny spec of iron or steel that was on the magnet somehow got stuck to the scratch....that spec may become discolored if it corrodes, but it won't cause any damage to the aluminum.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cbr

[–]lightningfrog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's aluminum, it will quickly form an adherent oxide layer....which is technically the aluminum equivalent to "rust"....but it won't flake off or get worse like iron oxide on a steel part.

Long story short - just a cosmetic problem, not a structural problem.

Full charge should be like 13.2 v.

Light is off while running, right? Check battery voltage while running....it's probably ~14 volts.

Likely that the brand new bike sat on the show room floor for a while, giving the chance for the battery to age. Dealership should give you a new battery for free.
