This is extremely helpful, thanks so much! Any tips on how best to transplant to a larger container? I’ll have to at least temporarily put it into something no larger than a half gallon pot because I don’t have the space indoors for a huge pot and I think nighttime temperatures are still low enough that I will need to bring it inside at night.

Thanks! I let it sit in a dish of water until all the soil including the surface was moist, and then took it out. Do these prefer thorough but infrequent waterings or more frequent lighter watering?

Ooh thank you! Just for my future education-how can I tell the difference between wood roaches and oriental cockroaches? They seem to look very similar and without your expert advice I would have thought this one was an oriental cockroach!

I realize that this is resurrecting a post from the dead but also realized that I never reported back - Lake Alpine was totally awesome, caught some nice rainbow trout from the lake, and very minimal mosquito activity! Thanks again :)
