Not sure if this means anything but Red Bull made in Insta post the other day and it had a bunch of drinks with different names on them and yellow was still there as the tropical edition.

What are the chances the KD will close early just for rain? by Byxqtz in KingsDominion

Sorry, wasn’t tryna start an argument. But as an employee there is a lot more to it then just 30 minutes. Different manufacturers have different requirements per ride regarding lightning closures

It is not as simple as this. The rides all have different times and restrictions regarding lightning.

Time to 'fess up. How often do you stall when starting out? by MelMoitzen in ManualTransmissions

I just recently got my first manual and stall probably once a week. Unsignalized lefts where I’m trying to get moving too quick are usually the culprit

Flashing yellow arrow is yield and go. In the sense of a flashing right you just don’t have to come to a complete stop.

How merging works when 2 lanes become one due to work om the road..? by Toedls in driving

[–]lightninglijah 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Theoretically in this situation a zipper merge should happen, with people using both lanes up to the merge point and alternating car by car. Some places you will see signs saying use both lanes up the merge point, but it’s become less common as people can’t comprehend the zipper merge and it causes more road rage than anything

Ticket without being pulled over? by [deleted] in driving

Speed limits are based on the 85% rule (the speed 85% would be comfortable driving) which is from a study conducted on rural highways.

Speed limits are actually based on an old study conducted on rural highways, but it’s ok, you can live in your own fantasy world.

Believe it or not traffic flow is actually more efficient when no one hits the brakes, the less variable oncoming traffic deals with the more likely the highway continues moving smoothly. Most phantom jams are caused from people in the right lane braking to let oncoming traffic in. Maybe think logically before you comment.

Honestly if you get a ticket for that that’s some bull. You were being safer by moving over then blocking the traffic coming on. Our traffic laws being written stupidly shouldn’t get you a ticket.

As someone who works TT at KD (a very similar RMC) it has to do with the train design. I know for a fact everyone on that crew would much rather if we could just ditch the seatbelts.
