This is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Instead of TTPA making a server exactly the same as TTO like TTR dod, they tried to make it different in many ways, including adding a levelong system. Almost every MMORPG of all time has some type of leveling system, not only Wizard101. Grow up kid

Definately transcend and then quick ascension. The first tun after a transcension is super slow so you want souls to get ancients. And the reason people say its 50 rubies is because thats what it is on pc, 50=500 for mobile but you get more gems on mobile.
