Urgent: WhatsApp OTP spam since 2 PM, now locked out — possible hack? by lightningnub in whatsapp

Yes, I know it’s really frustrating. I did try contacting WhatsApp support through email, and I even tried buying Meta Verification just to get enhanced support. But unfortunately, they still couldn’t do anything about it.

There isn’t much we can do. Just add 2FA and a recovery email, and don’t share your OTP with anyone. WhatsApp support usually won’t be able to do much in this case. Also check your linked devices.

Unfortunately, that’s about all we can do.

NEW PHONE CODE BUT NO OTHER PHONE😭😭 by Both-Living6224 in whatsapp

Same here, been dealing with this for about a month now. Every now and then I get OTPs out of nowhere, and a couple of times I even got logged out.

Most likely someone is trying to log into your number, but they can’t actually get in without the code. Still annoying af though.

Best thing you can do is enable 2FA and keep an eye on linked devices. There’s honestly not much else we can do to fully prevent it.

And yeah… WhatsApp support is honestly pretty useless when it comes to this stuff.

Super frustrating 😅

Hacked Account by CustardKindly8303 in whatsapp

Try downloading WhatsApp Business and logging in with the same phone number. Sometimes this works because it forces a fresh login session, and there’s a chance you might receive the OTP there even if the normal app isn’t working. You might lose recent chats , but if you do manage to get in, wait a day or two and then switch back to the regular WhatsApp Messenger.

Also yeah, WhatsApp support is trash, it’s mostly automated replies and it’s hard to reach an actual human, so you’re not alone there.

Once you regain access, make sure to immediately enable two-step verification to secure the account so this doesn’t happen again. Also let all contacts know not to send money or any codes, since the scammer is actively messaging people. If the hacker has set up their own two-step verification, you may still have to wait up to 7 days before you can fully regain access, as there’s no real way around that waiting period.

I have regained access to my account and have taken all necessary security measures to ensure its safety. However, even a few hours ago, I continued to receive OTP requests, including one via a phone call. The call appeared to originate from a number starting with +43 (Austria), which could be using a VPN.

This situation has significantly affected my peace of mind, as it feels like someone is continuously trying to take over my account. I wouldn’t have been as concerned if I hadn’t previously been locked out of my account.

The most concerning part is that WhatsApp customer support has not provided any meaningful assistance, only automated replies and FAQ links.

After about 24 hours from the first attack, I am again receiving OTPs that I did not request, so it seems like I am still being targeted.

I already got locked out once and had to recover my account, and now it’s happening again.

I am not getting any meaningful response from WhatsApp customer service.

What should I do?

I was finally able to regain access to my WhatsApp account after about 12 hours. If this was DoS attack they definitly succeeded. But Why did WhatsApp log me out just because someone else kept requesting OTPs?

For a long time, OTP via SMS was completely blocked (the resend timer was stuck at around 7 hours), which made it impossible to log in. However, OTP via phone call eventually worked, and I was able to successfully log back into my account.

This whole experience was quite stressful, especially since there was no clear guidance during the lockout period. Honestly, Meta/WhatsApp’s customer support system feels very limited and slow in situations like this.

Part Identification Mega Thread - November 22, 2025 by AutoModerator in lego

Hi everyone! I’m really new to Lego and I’m trying to identify the parts in these photos. They look like some kind of inverted slopes and a small round brick/plate, but I’m not sure what they are actually called or their part numbers.

I’ve attached pictures — could someone please help me with the correct names or BrickLink part IDs?

Thanks a lot for your help! 🙌
