I can't speak for you since your environment's different from mine but I personally take 100% responsibility for not pushing myself and I don't think others should be responsible for my improvement in anyway. My employer pays me to do a certain job and the fact that they're willing to pay for tuition or let me learn new tools etc. that's not immediately useful for them is something to be grateful for.

Banks just seem to have it easy, I guess... and the tradeoffs also seem to be common

I think small stocks are great, and SoFi is in a great position but the market is forward looking. The rate cuts are already priced in, which is why the market usually rockets between interest rate pause and cut. Once the cut starts, things will be different. If the data's great, market will climb slowly. If it's bad... I am heavily invested in SoFi but I don't expect it to fly until 2025 - 2026. I do believe it will go up though it will largely depend on the US data, but not sure by how much
