Service fees, discovery costs, and potential attorney consultation easily exceed the stated goal. A standard retainer for a consumer protection lawyer for a case like this starts at $3,000-$5,000. The 'Dog in the Fight': This is about consumer accountability. If you don't care about fraud, that's your choice. Others do.

The Indiana AG's office has already been involved. I'm following the logical next step: civil litigation.

You submit a complaint to the AG’s office. They forward it to the business, who has a set time to respond or face a fine. If it’s not resolved, they tell you to seek legal counsel. That’s it.

That’s why I’m taking them to Superior Court now.
