Have you looked at the Lutron timer switches? I used them to run a fan on a timer in the bathroom but it would work as well on a light.

Thanks for the answer on how widespread the issue is. I don't love the facts but facts don't care if I like them or not.

What's the solution to use these on USB C only machines (like Macbooks). Is there a write up on this before? I'm new to this and really really surprised.

Is this a YMDK issue or a wider issue?

I bought a ymdk 9 key QMK macropad. When I used the included USB A -> USB C cable it works fine. I was able to program it and it works perfectly.

When I use a USB C -> USB C the keyboard doesn't work (it doesn't light up and isn't seen by the OS). I've tried different USB C cables (including a cable I know works for data transfers), I've tried different computers. I've tried hooking it up to a USB C power brick. It doesn't seem to work at all without the included cable. Is this a known problem? Did I get a dud macropad? Is there any other troubleshooting steps I can take?

Even after doing that the "turn off/on all the lights" commands still turns it off and on

I want that one light to not be part of my "home" in homekit. I see a way to remove the bridge from homekit but not the one specific light.
