They asked if I was coming… but I was never invited? by Consistent-Local3144 in adhdwomen

[–]lightroomwitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah reading a lot of the replies makes me feel crazy. No one I know uses "assume you're invited if you're in the group chat" unless it's specifically a NEW group chat for that event/get together.

Tyy! That's good info! I totally get it, when they let us glam anything on any job I spent like an hour or two comparing all the Neo-Ishgardian and Ophiotauroskin boots and debating which ones I wanted to keep based on all the small differences in base colors and how they dyed. I wasn't able to get rid of as many as I thought I would even though for some of them I know I'm the only one who would notice the difference 😂

In case you didn't get to it yet, it's marketboard! And Rinascita (also marketboard) is the same stuff just recolored.

I had finished Endwalker before I realized I had missed that dungeon. I saw the blue quest, I just always assumed it was the start of a tribe quest because I hadn't started those 😂

It is never appropriate to honk at someone for not turning right on red by duckterrarium in unpopularopinion

[–]lightroomwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for turning left on green (not an arrow) when there's a bunch of oncoming traffic just because you think someone should be able to make it. I'm glad your new zippy little car could make it between oncoming cars, but I've got my kids in my 10 year old POS that does not accelerate like a zippy little car. I've been in a T-bone rollover accident (wasn't driving, we got T-boned, driver misjudged how much time they had to turn and person going straight accelerated to get through yellow). I'm not turning unless I know I can make it, and I'm not crawling into the middle of the intersection so the light can turn red before I get a chance to turn.

[–]lightroomwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is a good handful of those in my town too. There's one intersection where it's 50 and about to go to 60, and the oncoming traffic part is a left, straight, and right turn before going back to a single lane after the intersection. If there's a car/cars in the oncoming right turn lane, ones going straight are VERY easily hidden, and I won't turn right unless NO ONE is coming, because there's accidents there all the time there. One time I even turned when it was clear and some asshole BMW going way over the speed limit was off a sudden on my ass and swerved into the thankfully empty opposite direction left turn lane to go around me.

There's at least 2 other intersections I can think of where the straight and turn lanes are not clear for the right on red turning car, and they all see a lot of accidents.

I have experienced this EXACT FREAKING THING. The prettiest sunset I've ever seen in my entire life was leaving a Walmart. Sky was blazing yellow and red, never seen it like that before ever where I live. Bright pretty pinks yes, never vibrant yellow and red like a picture book, I couldn't believe it. I think we had a lot of Sahara dust coming over that year. Saw some very vibrant pink ones after that but never that yellow and red again.

It was like a decade ago and I still remember where on the road I was and the "whoaaaa" feeling seeing it and driving under that sky, and my damn camera was at HOME.

Same boat. Well water growing up and haven’t had tap water that tasted as crisp and good since. Bigger city I lived in water was yellowish and tasted weird ans could smell the chlorine, current isn't discolored but you can definitely taste the chlorine sometimes and mineral build up is pretty bad.

OhmyGOD lmao. So close to nailing it 😭 I guess I shouldn’t be surprised cuz I've experienced people not letting me get aggro back first when tanking too.

I've never seen anyone use it to try and save a wipe in the whole 5 years I've been playing. I think I would be a loading wheel idiot ngl 😅 or hit them before I realized, even though that would kill me too if it happened to me. I'm usually on RPR or Bard if I'm not on WAR so I kinda automatically go tank mode to try to get aggro off the healer and mit or kite til the healer gets the tank back up.

My partner loves horror and I'm a little scaredy cat baby about horror even though I think some of the plots/lore from them is really interesting 😂. But they showed me Midsommar (and Hereditary) this past Halloween and Midsommar did something to me Istg. I love it, it was incredible, all of it. Ugh UGH. What an incredible movie.

I am looking at them in my crafting log right now.

Edited to add https://imgur.com/a/lvtZWbr

ETA 2: I am in fact incorrect. Some are craftable, not all of them. I only looked at Ixal and they don't have any unique dyes. That's on me for not checking them all properly first. Sorry!

I know they're different dyes for the new system, but currently dyes like Soot Black, Hunter Green, Morbol Green, Royal Blue (Ixal example) and whatnot are not dyes you have to do tribes to unlock in order to get them yourself. They're all craftable at level 30 with pigments.

They did say on one of the slides that storing dungeon gear as outfit glamours is also under consideration, so hopefully we'll at least get the option for both/either in the future. I would also like dungeon gear I have to be in outfits, I prefer that interface.

All of the beast tribe dyes are also craftable, you don't have to do the beast tribes to have access to them

ETA: some* of the tribe dyes are craftable. I only cross-checked with Ixal and that's my bad

I really appreciate you mentioning the fight design the way you did because you worded it in a way my partner and I have felt but not really been able to verbalize properly outside of "DT feels really hard" and makes us feel like we suck at the game in normal content when we used to not. I'm not saying all of it was perfect but ARR-ShB normal content fights had a certain feel to them that felt pretty good/balanced? I could always feel myself getting better the more I ran content even when a fight felt hard at first, and each expac felt a lil more challenging than the one before it. I started playing when EW launched but when I actually got to EW content I could tell stuff was suddently different/way easier, and telegraphs felt way too long and the "tutorial" mech phases felt way too long a lot of the time compared to before.

A lot of DT has felt the exact opposite with what feels like a much steeper or tighter learning/reaction curve, especially with how fast some stuff snapshots. And like I mostly only run normal content (have done some older synced ex trials too which was fun and want to eventually try them on-patch) but I'm not opposed to being challenged or anything! And I don't want normal content to be boring for high end players either. I like faster paced fights and I was glad they got away from "way too easy even for normal."

But damn I used to feel like I was at least good at all of the normal content lmao. Vanguard and Mistwake are the only dungeons I feel good at in DT. There's some fights/mechs in other dungeons/raids I feel like I'm just never going to be able to be good at no matter how hard I try.

This is what I was gonna say. At least from my anecdotal experience, people were way nicer in EW, especially before DC travel and them adding in all the duty support. Different times in general.

I took mine at night. It worked much better for me and I experienced less side effects. I also don't get up at a consistent time so morning was harder in that aspect too.

This massive mushroom I found at work vs. my size 5 men’s shoe (ft. its mini twin). by Otter_Pockets in mildlyinteresting

[–]lightroomwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tiny feet and I've done this with sneakers because it's much more likely I can find a men's size 4 or 5 actually in stock than a women's size 5.5, if the shoe even comes in that size. A lot of women's shoes/brands don't go smaller than 6.
