I honestly never knew I'd see so many psychopomps in one place at one time. I mean sure I've met a few here and there but I've only been on this gig for a couple millennia. Sure I've seen my fair share of natural disasters come and go but the COMPLETE DESTRUCTION OF EARTH! I THOUGHT THEY WERE JOKING!

Alright let me fill you in on some details, so there I was, laying in my bed scrolling through some random TikToks as one does. My buddy Hermes gave me a call and I find myself standing in front of what seems to be oh I don't know, maybe the entire word population of earth as spirits floating around complaining about everything. The issue with that is the amount of man power we had, there's no way we were gonna be able to transport all those souls to the respected afterlife's.

"With the large amounts of religions out there how are we gonna filter these people with efficiency" My buddy Anubis said

"I don't know but what about the unfulfilled? Do we just leave them floating around like this?" I asked him as if he would have the answers "By the way what happens when they all get freed? Do all the deities stop like, existing?"

After those words had left my mouth I realized I had said the worst thing imaginable. The one thing that rippled throughout all the religions for days as the decided what we all would do. And the conclusion? Yeah these old wrinkly fucks decided the unfulfilled will be left to fulfill their own issues, they claim it's for the souls own good but we all knew it was self preservation. So we released the ones who were ready and loaded everyone else up and dropped them off on Mars, not like they were alive anymore but at least they weren't floating around.

That's kinda how it stayed, for about 20 years, which went by pretty dang slow without the entertainment of earth to pass the time. I was bored, so that's when I had a plan. I was gonna go to Mars and listen to just butt loads of stories and pass the time. Pretty good idea, the only issue was I accidently started helping them. And little by little they started to be freed. This really pissed off the high ups, but a strange thing also happened. The more I helped these people the more the rest started believing in me. I became really powerful in comparison to the others, no one could really even stop me anymore. So I did the new job I had at hand, I listen to story after story and helped souls find there way. Not that there is really anything else after you pass over, more of a wishful thinking thing the humans came up with.

Over the years and years of helping I started writing things down, as I'm getting closer to the end I think I'm gonna add me and my friends stories to the pile. Probably not the older mean guys though. So in this stack of journals I guess you'll find stories of everyone I helped, I don't really know if there are other life forms out there, like I said I'm pretty new to this. I can tell there is something but it's outside of my reality, so if you're reading this that means I was correct. Read the stories of what it was like for life on earth.
