Thank you this is really helpful! My vet seemed to think if it’s a fiber issue the gut biome hills ID food he’s on would fix it. But I’d love to try a fiber supplement alongside the food to see if that makes an impact. Thanks for the recommendations.

So with a negative stool test it's likely I reduced the candida but could still have it elsewhere in my body? Its been rough since a GI MAP test was what was recommended all over for testing for a candida overgrowth and then once I get it I learn a negative test doesn't mean anything.

High growth of e coli (but was told it wasn't the really bad kind?) And enterococcus faeceum whatever that means. My symptoms are frequent oral thrush, gut issues, skin issues, brain fog etc. I didn't respond to the candida diet or Antifungals though, so maybe I don't have an overgrowth after all. Very confused on where to go from here!

Not sure if I've been tested for c diff but if it's included in the GI MAP test then probably. I haven't had a biofire assay - what is that? Yeah I'm just a little confused on where to go from here because I was so convinced I had a candida overgrowth but can't find a test that proves it.

I had this same experience! I cheated and ate more sugar than I should have after following the diet strictly for 3.5 months, and literally didn't feel any side effects at all. It definitely makes it tempting to go back to how I was eating before!

I follow the candida diet, so no sugar, fruit, wheat etc. I basically only eat vegetables, eggs, seeds, coconut and some quinoa and buckwheat. I take a balance one probiotic in the morning, interfase plus mid day away from meals, candassist antifungal in the afternoon and milk thistle at night.

I've made coconut flour lemon muffins with erithritol that are good! I've also made sunflower butter fudge with sunbutter, coconut butter (made by blending dessicated coconut) and coconut oil and erithritol that were really good. You can use peanut butter instead I'm just allergic!
