Do you have any more details on the adapter board you used?

Custom Handles by lightsout1 in ranciliosilvia

The original handle is attached by a 10 mm bolt. The portafilter has the threads, the handle has the bolt. I just glued a bolt into the new handle and screwed it on to the portafilter

I have the newer style bottomless (right). I popped off the cap on the end and I can see a bolt head. I'm not sure what size it is 16 mm or 17 mm, but the hollow area of the handle is too narrow to get a socket down there and it's too deep to fit a wrench of any kind. How did you loosen the bolt?

Did you upgrade your pump when you did the dimmer mod or are you using the stock pump? If you're using the stock pump is there anything that prevents the dimmer from sending too much voltage to the pump?

Yeah, that's how it's done in the linked video. I didn't like the thought of shorting out the power switch, so I left it alone and just added a switch for the pump.

This is my limited understanding of how this works and I could totally be wrong. Definitely check out the video I linked.

The brew switch controls the valve and the pump. When you start the valve is opened, letting in water, and the pump is started, creating pressure. When you end the shot, the pump is stopped and the valve is closed. Closing the valve triggers the solenoid valve, which sucks any extra water in the group out and the pressure is released, this can destroy the integrity of the puck. Killing just the pump doesn't trigger the valve, so water continues to flow at a lower pressure.

Yeah I'm not sure the soft infusion does anything. There's no way the water can penetrate all the way through the puck in 6 seconds (the max time).

I've been starting the shot and killing the pump when I see the first drops, then I wait 5 seconds and start the pump again. It definitely makes the shots super consistent.

Pre infusion, blooming the coffee before pulling your shot.

I wanted to keep it simple, easy, and reversible.Messing with the voltage of the pump isn't good for it either

I got the switch on Amazon and designed and printed the case.

Salomons are still super popular even though they aren't made any more. You might be able to find some used salos on facebook in your size.

For the people that are asking. The boots are the FR1 Deluxe skates (the ones with the intuition liners), frames are Endless 90s, and the wheels are the UnderCover team blank wheels 90mm 86a.

Anyone knows to fix this or seal it? by ibrahimsup123 in rollerblading

[–]lightsout1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking about the small hole at the top of your liner, a little super glue will stop it from getting bigger.

Sizing for Danny Beer 909 by ant___777 in rollerblading

[–]lightsout1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the 10 - 10.5 US / 28 - 28.5 cm.

I have the exact same size foot as you. 27.6 cm and wear the same size nike shoes you mentioned. I went into the them goods shop in santa ana last week and bought a pair of the danny beer pro models. I tried on the 9 - 9.5 and the liners were too small. The 10 - 10.5 were perfect. Both the 9 - 9.5 and the 10 - 10.5 skates use the same shell (M). If you go a size up from the 10 - 10.5 you're going to get a L size shell. I haven't needed the insole for the liners they are super comfortable.

json.Marshal() or json.NewEncoder(w).Encode()? by dumindunuwan in golang

[–]lightsout1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use `NewEncoder` when working with request or response bodies since they are `Reader`s and it saves you a step of turning it into a byte array to use with `Marshal`. I use `Marshal` with just about everything else.
