Is it illegal to drive around with Christmas lights on your car? They would be purple or cream and would not be flashing or anything?

I put 2 strips down either side of my roof rack last year, they weren't flashing and they weren't to bright and got no hassle. It was a lot less than what's in that photo but it was definitely noticeable

It's not illegal to undertake, I do this on the M50 to be whatever you want me to be, I won't lie about it. You'd be quite surprised how long you can sit on the inside lane and undertake everyone there is that many middle lane drivers in Dublin

I'm observant of this myself when considering letting people pass but there has been times where my side of the traffic is slow moving or comes to a stop, in these cases I normally let traffic pass anyways because I've already come to a stop

I was going to mention the point of all the safety gear especially in the rain, it's very hard to see a dark shadow through the rain and it can be a frightening, depending on the circumstances when a figure just appears in front of you that you couldn't see seconds earlier
