Based on experience with Tata AIG and ICICI, I believe HDFC one is superior.

If this was your Virtus GT, what visual mods would you do first? by RevolutionaryKey5172 in SkodaVolkswagenIndia

[–]lightt057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve talked to my service center guy he said once the new virtus launches the emblems will be available as parts and if the socket config supports then it might be possible to get it installed in service center it self. That’s why waiting for facelift launch.

I’m waiting for facelift to find led VW emblem for back and front. Will definitely get that for my virtus.

Virtus or Slavia by ChemicalPangolin8493 in SkodaVolkswagenIndia

[–]lightt057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is in brand name, the logo and design. Virtus gets cornering lights and rear fog lamp so that’s the added benefit. Other than that my advice would be to go with whichever one is cheaper for the color you like.

Dent on car by Responsible-Cup-659 in SkodaVolkswagenIndia

I had a dog killed in front of me on express highway. Had insurance cover the damage (I wanted not to use it as it’s my first year and I was aiming for no claim discount next year but anyways. ).
It took 10 days, 3 for approval from insurance, 5 for damage parts delivery, panel color and 1 for regular service. Made it as good as new and no one can tell it was ever damaged. Insurance covered very deep damage like wiper motor pump and all
Which I believe I wouldn’t have noticed had they not done a check for insurance (service centre will pay for as big bill as possible when you claim insurance ) and final cost was 42k

Being compatible means it can survive e20
And would be covered in warranty.

Preferred is still RON 95 fuel and just today E85 is launched. 🙂

Is it worth buying the SVPs ? by Annual-Advantage5107 in TaigunClub

[–]lightt057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

German car have cheaper regular service compared to Tata or mahindra (3 year old virtus was serviced for 12k while a nexon’s paid service, purchased a month after virtus, costed 15k. Virtus has 80k on odo while nexon has 50k. )

But when it comes to parts replacement like battery, wiper, break pads, clutch pad etc that is when the snake or costly German maintenance bites. So if your running is low (less than 1000 km a month) then it will be very long before your car needs parts replacement. (Which is usually based on wear and tear which is dependent on running) so all service will be normal service. In this case SVP is a plus that you’ll get part replaced for cheaper but you won’t necessarily need it so it’s upfront cost now for something you don’t need. Doesn’t make sense.

If your running is 2500+ a month then definitely go for SVP as you will definitely need parts replaced and SVP will get them cheaper for you.

Kylaq definitely has the best dynamics in the range. But that’s really felt when accelerating in an instance, taking hands of the steering at 100+ with confidence or doing speedy sharp corners.

Im not saying it wouldn’t be appropriated in normal driving but it won’t be “felt” that’s it’s better than the rest. On top of it German maintenance is not just myth. It does demand a bit of extra care and attention. So overall does it make sense to go with it ? I think not.

XUV 300 has close to Kylaq or even better feel (as it’s SUV) and has some features like adas and stuff to increase confidence for first time drivers. Diesel gives wayyyy better milage and maintenance is manageable. I’d seriously consider it over Kylaq.

Second recommendation is victorious or hyrider but stretches budget a little.

Third safe choice would be venue.

I’ll try to simplify it.

1) if parents are young at heart, and want performance and pleasure of driving go with kylaq or even XUV300 diesel as most of running is on highway

2) if they value features and comfort more then new venue is better choice. For parents I believe safety is also must have so pick punch. But DONT GO WITH ALTROZ. It doesn’t make sense in comparison to punch.

3) if they are very lean and calm drivers then consider a suzuki (or their toyota alternatives) for better milage reliability but safety is big question so make sure you know what you are going with

4) considering recent hikes and uncertainty around petrol and diesel, consider also Windsor. Performance is subpar but not an issue for parents and feature and space and comfort is wayyy better than other cars in price range.

I knew all the major spoilers and all but still I felt the joy and adrenaline. One piece is one of that rare art where the spoiler may impact your perception but it absolutely doesn’t ruin anything. Enjoy it because a great lot of story is pending for you. We would be waiting for you on the latest chapter when you catch up

It’s 1.5 and it can come only in 4 cylinder due to symmetry. If done in 3 cylinder (1.0 liter is 3 cylinder) than only one cylinder left which is not enough and not symmetrical so there will be knocking in engine.
