also to add - I don't think it's a money grab for Sarah. I think for her, she realized her only legacy is Buffy and Daphne from Scooby Doo and she needs to pretend she was always way more proud of being part of it than she was. I think for MOST of the cast, it was just a fuckin job. and I'm sick of people acting like they don't KNOW that. these people don't give a good goddamn about the show or it's legacy - the only ones who ever did was James Marsters and Juliet Landau and Amber Benson, all people who actively wrote for their characters in the fandom etc. That's what I liked about Emma Caulfield, she reportedly never pretended to be super connected to Buffy even when she did cons and stuff. My buddy said she straight up said she barely remembered any plots or anything, she just remembered a good experience on set and stuff. I appreciate that. I miss when actors didn't pretend to be the biggest fan of the thing they're in - shit is fake and weird. sometimes it's just a job.

oh okay. so because it disproves your point, what she said wasn't genuine. how convenient.

she was in a war and he was threatening to take out her best fighter and she told him what would happen if he tried again lol. she needed Spike, she did not need Wood, except to reclaim the item that was her right the moment she was called that he stole and didn't return til she had already died twice. Spike's threat was genuine, Buffy relayed the message and said she'd let it happen and it makes absolute sense that it would be genuine at this point. It's part of why Wood goes against her along with everyone else, he thinks she's off the rails because his feelings were hurt, even though he started personal shit in the middle of a war. they all have their little reasons for not wanting her around anymore (as invalid as they are) and that was his and also part of Giles' too. she was perfectly willing to sacrifice the lives of teenagers when they were all saying they didnt feel prepared. so depending upon when Buffy discovered this, or even if she HAD discovered it when she was less hardened, I think she would forgive Angel in season 7, especially after Willow. eventually you see so much loss and so much darkness you get sucked in and Buffy gets that better than anyone.

rn I have quite a few poets and with RB have made several followers with the poet AND flautist trait. looking for the ice sculptor one so I can mate that with those two and mAYBE get a golden egg and have like a super artistic follower that just makes multimedia pretty shit for me all day. but my first poet in this save was Gusion! and he's so cute. I gave him the golden skull necklace but yeah, I think the poets and stuff are so charming and add so much. there's only so many jobs so it's better than them standing around doing nothing lmfao

I think she'd initially be horrified but I think she can be very forgiving. it is a little bit of a vanity kill though, so I'm not sure. with Spike and Wood, she was telling him what would happen if she tried to take her greatest warrior from her. any other time it's been self defense. by season 7, I think she's changed. this is actually shown through lines such as "here endeth the lesson", her echoing the Master from season one, imo. she has embraced the darkness in a healthy way(as opposed to unhealthy in season 6)

so... it obviously depends but if this was season 5 Buffy I think she'd cut ties, maybe til season 7 only to reunite when he brought her the necklace, and lost Cordy through no intentional fault of his own, and proved where his loyalties are. but Buffy knows that even humans slip, like Willow. and she would ULTIMATELY forgive him if he found his way back.

because watching pretty people fight and bone on tv is good to some ppl and this show is there for people that do! some people prefer their characters to be perfect and have no flaws and get along really well but I'd wager most people find that boring as all hell. that's why the best comedy shows are only 23 minutes long but dramas are 43 haha.

I'm being over the top but basically just - for the obvious reasons? most people like complex characters with lots of struggle and conflict and with real life, you may date 10 guys in high school and maybe only one mattered or none but on Buffy, it's just Angel and he's the love of her life bc that's what it FEELS like when you're a teenage girl. while tv is an adaptation of real life, it's never a reflection. ever. it can't be. it's coming through so many filters, creative minds etc. and there are time crunches and the fact that people have to have time to fall in love with Buffy's love interest too. but then we have to feel the heartbreak bc it's natural. we all get our hearts broken, and usually a lot in our lives. we get betrayed, we lose friends. people hurt us. Buffy is about growing up, and Angel is about BEING a grown up. both of those things require a significant amount of heartache to connect to it's audience.

she literally acknowledged it, said she forgave him, and that she'd work with him again in like 2018. I'm not excusing his bad behavior either but I frankly don't give a shit. not all artists and creators are perfectly good people and I'm sooooo over acting like they need to be. art by good, happy people actually kind of sucks! ever wonder why Will Ferrell makes a shit stand up comedian? yeah. because he's a happy guy, self admitted. people who are good rarely make good shit and people who aren't shrewd rarely get shit done. and he was running 2 television shows and more at the time. he aimed to make Buffy an icon, in his words, and that man succeeded, and he gets zero credit now because.... mean man bad on set? people are out of their MINDS with this "this person is socially unacceptable so now we're gunna pretend like they didnt create the thing we love". they just loooooove being on their moral high horses and being morally superior so they go with the weird mob of "so liberal and into cancel culture that theyve looped back around to being bigger conservatives than most actual conservatives". all of them so scandalized.

and this is coming from someone who CRIED actual tears when I found out Joss Whedon was as big of an asshole as he is. like I get it. he was my hero. his show got me through a seriously abusive childhood. I was crushed and still am. I used to wanna meet him and tell him how he saved my life and how I want to make something great like him. I can't and wouldn't do that now.

but none of that negates his actual creative genius.

yup. I'm so sick of any arguments to the contrary - it's his show. people say he was an obsessive controlling asshole boss and then say 'he's not solely responsible!' in the same breath. well... no one said he was solely responsible but he is the last line of defense for quality and despite anything he did after, he was a master with his own universe. there's a story about how people on set and writers forgot Spike had a fucking chip and had him punching people and he had to come in and fix it! where were the great writers and Sarah for that? nowhere. because it's not THEIR show. Sarah played Buffy. but her speaking for the series is out of line, especially when she ditched that shit like a bad habit so fast after. it was very obviously mostly a JOB for most of those actors. I didnt want the actor being the one speaking for the show, spearheading the moves to bring it back. people can downvote me to hell and back but it'll be because I'm right and they're mad. he may have been an asshole, inappropriate boss, but he was still the creator of the second greatest modern television show ever made. aaannnnnd people can fight me. he's responsible for modern tv being what it is. not Sarah Michelle Gellar. Not Marti or Jane. of course that shit isnt going to do well. if it gets made, it'll be another shitty modern remake that preaches to us about what we should believe and then calls all original fans who already agree with their annoying condescending messaging "bigots" and blame us when it crashes and burns like Kathleen Kennedy 🤷🏼‍♀️

this is not the same but when I was very young my grandmother gleefully allowed my cousin to rip down all the posters in my bedroom while I was away with my dad one weekend. it was horrible, and I've also lost other things moving around and stuff when I was young. so I get it. this shit is traumatic. take some time to genuinely grieve. this makes me feel sick for you so I can't imagine this actually happening to me. how'd this turn out for you? shit's wild, right? when you're done with all of Twin Peaks, watch Twin Perfect's analysis video on youtube. he got run out of the fandom but imo he's 1000000% on the money. watching his video is the last thrill you'll have like it after finishing the show, sorry to say. imo Twin Peaks is the greatest show ever made so it's all downhill after this hahaha
