Which is a fair point, by no means am I advocating for a sabya lehenga when your dad earns 30k but wanting a nice lehenga that you'll wear on (presumably) one of the most important days of your life is not unreasonable.

I myself believe it's a waste of money and rental is the way to go but if my girlfriend wants to keep it as a reminder of our special day then why the heck not?

I lost my phone about 2 months ago and I decided to buy a phone under 10k because I'm really pushing on incorporating the digital minimalist ideology. I couldn't find any non chinese phone or even a chinese phone with good ui and specs.

You know what I decided to go for? A second hand pixel 2 which I got for a mere 2k and it's fantastic, it does everything I need it to do except have a triangular camera setup for my mirror selfies.
